Kylie’s matte liquid lipsticks come in a nice acrylic tube with a black top. Every tube has this pattern of dripping pigment which is a signature design of Kylie Cosmetics. The applicator is a pretty standard doe foot applicator, nothing out of the box. You can purchase these liquid lipsticks as individuals or as Matte Lip Kits – both are available on Kylie’s website. Kylie Cosmetics is basically an Indie brand for all practical purposes.

Texture, Formula, Finish and Pigmentation

Kylie’s liquid lipsticks have a very smooth texture which makes them super easy to apply. They give a super powdery matte finish on the lips. The formula is very comfortable doesn’t feel drying on the lips. Every lipstick from Kylie is super intensely pigmented. Because of this, you can just apply a thin layer of the lipstick and it would give you 100% full coverage. Also, we do not suggest applying more than 2 layers because they are super matte. Hence such formulas tend to flake if you over apply them with lots of layers. Also, because they are so pigmented, there won’t really be a need to layer them up too much.

Candy K is a again a beautiful soft pink based n*ude shade with very slight brown undertones. This shade is a tad darker than Koko K but again, this would suit beauties with pale to fair complexions.

Like the name suggests, its a true deep brown shade. We are not talking red mixed or pink mixed here. Its literally true deep brown. This shade will suit all complexion from the fairest to the deep skin beauties.

Kylie’s Leo is a deep burgundy shade with slight brown undertones. A perfect fall shade. This vampy shade is sure to excite you if you like wearing deep coloured lip colours. This shade again will suit every skin tone.

Kylie’s Merry is a medium deep red shade with slight blue undertones. This was a holiday 2016 release. This shade actually is just a tad bit deeper than Kylie’s Mary Jo K. If you’re a red lipstick junkie, you’re sure to love this.

Wearability, Staying Power

The Kylie’s matte lipsticks have a comfortable formula and they don’t make the lips too dry. However please make sure to prep the lips well and preferably use a lip primer underneath for the most gorgeous looking lips. The deeper shades like Kourt K, Leo and True Brown etc do leave a stain behind when you remove them. But a good quality makeup remover can take care of the stain. Finally, the staying power of these lipsticks vary from 7 to 8 hours. Throughout the wear time they don’t bleed, feather or flake which is amazing.
