The first thing that I love about these lipsticks is the packaging. The outer carton box is golden in colour with textured clear droplets representing rain water drops. Inside, the lipsticks actually have a colour coded theme. The colour of the tube corresponds to the colour of the lipstick. Similar to the outer packaging, the lipstick tube has textured clear droplets as well. Overall I have to say the packaging is stunning and Colourbar did a great job coming up with such a beautiful concept.

Texture, Finish, Pigmentation

All these lipsticks have a smooth texture. They glide on very easily on the lips and do not tug. After about 30-40 seconds of applying the lipstick, the colour sets into a very nice comfortable matte finish. The formula is pretty amazing because it does not make the lips feel dry. Pigmentation wise they are quite admirable. These give 90% opaque coverage in a single swipe. With just 2 swipes, you get fully opaque and even coverage.

Individual Shades Description of Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipsticks

Thunder 01 – is a bright fuchsia pink shade. Its vibrant and will suit all skin tones.
Storm 02 – Storm is a gorgeous neutral red. This is the red shade which suits every single skin tone.
Lightening 03 – is a baby pink n*de shade which will suit mostly lighter skin tones.
Drizzle 04 – is a neutral brown. The shade takes 2-3 swipes for total opaque pigmentation.
Shower 05 – is a purple based pink very similar to MAC Flat out Fabulous lipstick.
Damp 06 – Damp is a pink based n*ude shade that will suit fair skin tones.
Hail 07 – is a bright strawberry red shade which gives slight coral vibes.

Wearability, Staying Power

MBF Team tried out the shades Thunder, Storm and Shower. All these lipstick are comfortable to wear. They do not make the lips feel very dry throughout the wear time. However these do slightly transfer onto cups while drinking. They do not go patchy.

The deeper shades have a staying power of 3 to 4 hours while the lighter shades last an hour less almost. After they fade, they do leave a slight tint which is pretty even so looks nice. However if you want to take off the tint, a good makeup remover does the job nicely.
