In Detail Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler EyeShadow Palette Review, Swatches and My Experience
I had no intension of buying this palette initially. I literally bought it by chance. A friend of mine was in the US and I had given her a list of a few items I wanted, but sadly she couldn’t manage to get them so she asked me what I wanted as an alternate. Since I was on a small budget, I just told her to get me this palette on a whim! And am I glad I did! I instantly fell in love with the colors and the texture. It has such crazy pigmentation, a little goes a long way!
Funny enough, another friend was about to gift this to me on my birthday! So I was meant to get it regardless. It’s some of the best money I have ever spent. This palette introduced me to the world of Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows and now I’m upset that I hadn’t found out sooner so I could’ve bought the previous limited edition ones that came out.
Individual Shade Descriptions of the ABH Shadow Couture Palette
Soft Peach
(nude pastel peach with an ultra-matte finish)
This is that perfect, all over the eye shade, that can be used to set your primer and create a smooth even canvas or great for highlighting under the brow bone!
Morocco
(deep burnt orange with an ultra-matte finish)
This is a perfect transition color that helps to blend everything together
Heirloom
(pinky eggplant with a sparkle finish)
What’s a palette without a shimmery pop of color! It’s perfect for darkening the outer corner or to create a purple smoky eye
Bellini
(golden peach with a satin finish)
This is a pretty subtle shade that can be used as an all over the lid shade or as an inner corner highlight
Pink Champagne
(shimmery pink with a titanium finish)
MY ABSOLUTE FAVORUITE shadow in this palette. So I wish Anastasia would make this into a single pan. I can’t ever run out of it. I love it way too much! Its gives the perfect pop of glitter without being too over the top. It’s a little hard to apply. You have to dig your brush in to pick up maximum pigment
Chic
(taupe grey with a shimmer finish)
Another good metallic shade for the lid. Good for creating a smoky eye!
Spoiled
(gold-flecked peach with a metallic finish)
The metallics in this palette are bomb! Another perfect lid shade
Fudge
(rich, chocolate brown with an ultra-matte finish)
This shade is good for darkening outer corners or for a deeper transition shade
Azure
(vibrant blue with a metallic finish)
Another fun vibrant pop of color! Sadly it doesn’t translate onto the eyes all that well
Intense Gaze
(bronzed pink with a satin finish)
A nice mid tone shade that you can use all over the lid
Metallic
(brassy gold with a metallic finish)
A cool toned gold that is really good for more glamourous nights out. Bling bling!
Noir
(deep carbon black with an ultra-matte finish)
Deep and rich, this black is perfect.
Sadly Anastasia does a lot of limited edition palettes! Their only permanent one is the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette which is also mind blowing!
