In Detail ColourPop Liberty Super Shock Metallic Shadow Review, Swatches and My Experience

Colourpop Shadows come in a very simple yet elegant looking white coloured tub with a see through screw lid. The lid has “COLOURPOP” written over it in metallic silver. The back of the packaging has all the details about the product. However the ingredient list is only available at their official website. Overall its a very pretty packaging. Please note, colourpop strongly advises to close the tightly after using the eyeshadow.

Texture, Pigementation

The texture of the eyeshadow is so buttery smooth. I never ever get a glittery feel. It just feels super smooth. The shadow has the most crazy intense pigmentation ever! I kid you not guys, this applies 100% metallic silver in a single swipe. It almost feels like a cream shadow to be honest, but does not feel heavy at all. Basically this is an extremely creamy powder packed with pigment.

ColourPop Liberty

When I say this is the most pigmented metallic silver ever, I mean it! Its just plain neutral metallic, reflective silver without any specific undertones. This is my absolute favourite eyeshadow since I have used it and I am already thinking of purchasing a back up. This shade looks amazing whether you want to use it as a lid topper or on the inner corners etc. In fact, you can use a thin liner brush and use this to create artistic metallic silver liner looks.

Finish, Wearability, Staying Power

The finish of the shadow is ultra metallic very much exactly like colourpop claims. I couldn’t have asked for a more silver metallic eyeshadow. It wears comfortably on the lids and does not seem to be moving around. However if you rub your eyes a lot, you might get some shimmers happening around the eyes. The shadow stays on my lids for 8 hours without fading.

1. The most metallic silver ever.
2. Super pigmented.
3. Feels almost like a cream shadow, but super light weight.
4. Good staying power.
5. Inexpensive.

CONs of ColourPop Liberty Super Shock Shadow

1. Colourpop is difficult to get your hands on if you’re not in the United States of America.

MBF Advises

1. Do not depot colourpop super shock shadows because their formula tends to dry out if you leave them in the open. That is why colourpop advises to shut the lid tightly after every use.
2. This shadow applies better with finger tips.
3. The outer box of colourpop super shock shadows does not have the name of the shade written anywhere. So you can always use a marker and write the name yourself for easy reference.

  1. Hi Dr Astha 😉
These used to have an ingredients list posted at the back of the box. I’ve seen similar posts with nothing at the box. Do they still print it?

    • Hey Jenna,
I have been purchasing from colourpop for quite a while now and I’ve never seen an ingredients list on these eyeshadow boxes. May be they used to when the brand started out, but now they don’t. You can find the ingredients list of all the products on their website though. 🙂

      • Thanks! Yeah I saw them listed at the website. There are just some ingredients that I’m allergic to because I have super sensitive skin, but overall good value for money 🙂
