In Detail Dabur Gulabari Premium Rose Water Review and My Experience

The Dabur gulabari rose water comes in a very basic plastic bottle packaging with a flip open top. The bottle is transparent with a pink cap. Everything about the product is clearly written on the labels which is amazing. Now I know I have been using this product for the longest time ever but I am quite surprised at myself why I never looked at the ingredients. I must admit I had the shock of my life when I saw the ingredient list since I had always thought of Dabur Gulabari as a 100% rose water product. Unfortunately it’s not a 100% rose water.

If you take a close look at the ingredient list above, you will notice there are quite a lot of chemicals in there including parabens. They have added rose fragrance in the product. The only proper rose ingredient is “ROSE OIL”. I mean I just want to take a minute here and point out how insane this is.

Dabur Gulabari Premium Rose Water Review details

Dabur rose water claims to cleanse, moisturise and tone the skin. I always used to wonder how can pure rose water be used for cleansing the skin. Well, now I know. Dabur rose water contains enough chemicals to do anything it wants. I was really surprised by propylene glycol which is a very controversial agent. Plus loads of parabens in rose water, well to me this does not make any sense.

However, I have used it for my powder face masks and as a refresher. It works fine. Still, I am afraid I find myself never using this since I have come to know about the ingredients. I would rather use plain water to mix my face masks than use these many chemicals on my face. Plus of course not to ignore the fact that this is not actually a rose water. All actual “ROSE” it contains is some rose oil.

Overall Verdict

I do not want to write a PROs and CONs list for this product today because honestly, there are no good feelings about this product in my mind after reading the ingredients. I now use rose water either by KAMA Ayurveda or by Forest Essentials which are a 100% rose water. I know they are a bit costly but at least I know they are free of any chemicals and are actual rose water.

If you have used this product, please let me know about your experience in the comments down below. This post may turn out to be an eye opener about how some companies fool us by the name of the products. I definitely do not recommend this product because I am not at all impressed by it. The refreshing cooling feeling it gives is only because of water evaporating from the skin and propylene glycol which is an anti freeze agent.
