My Experience with the Dove Intense Repair Conditioner:

First, let me tell you my hair type. I have curly-wavy hair which go to either extremes depending upon the climate. I have problems with frizz and currently my hair is falling more than usual because it has been so humid out here.
Moving on, this baby comes in a tube which is always nice to have in the shower. It has a really nice creamy consistency. I guess all the dove conditioners that I have tried till now are more or less creamy in consistency. It smells like a classic dove product. Nothing very extraordinary.

I have long hair, so I use quite a lot of product on my hair. I apply this on my hair, making sure I do not touch my roots with the product because my scalp is more or less normal, so I do not want to make it extra greasy. Now, I leave this on for 5-10 minutes depending on whatever I am doing in the shower and wash it off with cold water.

I find that this does make my hair soft and gets rid of tangles to a moderate extent, nothing very significant though. I do not see miraculous smoothening as the product claims, I mean its the same if I use any other conditioner. It does not weigh my hair done which is a plus point. It does get rid of frizz and fly aways to a certain extent. I do not suffer from hair problems like split ends and mid shaft breakage, but based on the experience of my friend who also bought this product along with me, it has not really helped with her hair damage. However, because she has straight hair type, it does make her hair more soft and manageable. So I guess it is a better choice for straight hair types. As far as getting rid of tangles is concerned, this product contains dimethicone which is nothing but a type of silicone oil, this product does the job. However, I find that not all the ladies are very comfortable with using silicone in their hair products.

Overall, I find that Dove Intense repair conditioner is more or less an average hair conditioner as far as my hair type is concerned. I did not see any amazing effects on my hair, however the beauties with straight hair type may love it. It does not really does anything to repair the hair damage. Well I think usually no product can actually reverse the damage once it is done.

2. Makes hair soft and tames down the frizz to a moderate extent
3. Easy on the pocket, and easily available
4. Will work lovely on girls who have thin hair texture

Cons of Dove Intense Repair Conditioner:

1. Did not really smoothen out my hair
2. I am sure about the damage “repair” claims
3. Not really a good choice for girls with curly hair types
4. Contains silicones so watch out for that if you are someone who is sensitive to silicones
