How to wear Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick

Exfoliate your lips using an old toothbrush and Vaseline to remove any dry flakes and dead skin cells. Wipe with a tissue and outline your lips with a lip liner in similar shade.This would allow your lip-color to stay on for longer. Fill in the lip colour either, directly from the lipstick bullet or use a lipstick brush to fill in the colour.

Apply two to three coats. You may use a tissue to press onto to remove extra product. The third coat is the final coat. You need not top it with lip gloss as this lipstick has a perfect sheen.

Packaging

This lipstick, being a part of a festive pack comes in a beautiful packaging. The Bullet is done in deep Navy Blue (almost looks black) plastic with Golden stars, all over it. There is no special locking mechanism, as such but the cap does close pretty tightly and makes a ticking sound.

The base of the lipstick mentions the shade name and number and the range of the lipstick to which this shade belongs. It belongs to Pure Colour Long Lasting Variant under Shimmer range.

Texture and finish

The texture of this lipstick is creamy and smooth and feels very light on lips. I love to wear lipsticks that have no stickiness and do not bother me! It glides on my lips effortlessly. Once applied, this lipstick settles with a partly glossy finish. It does not flake or smudge but is transferable. So, you would need touch ups after having your meal or a cup of coffee.

About the shade Hot Kiss Shimmer

The name Hot Kiss is rather misleading as you would expect such a shade to look Bright and Deep but this shade is a very soft one that looks like a very natural Brown tone with a natural sheen. It has Plum undertones.

This would look great on all skin tones be it: fair, medium or dark.This gives a very professional feel and would make you look well-groomed.It looks beautiful with a hint of blush on your cheeks.

Staying power

This would not fade at all for hours if, you do not eat or drink with this. Average staying power is around 4 o 5 hours easily.It is fairly pigmented and covers dark lips but the pigmentation is not too dark because o the nature of the shade so, a touch up 3 hours or so would not hurt..With a baby oil, it would come off easily.
