Since my skin is cursed with acne problems I keep searching for new products that claims to vanish the acne on my skin completely.

In Detail Fabindia Clove Acne Control Cream Review, Swatches and My Experience

As I mentioned before I have major acne problems since my skin Is oily I breakout very frequently. Also, acne goes hand in hand with spots. Therefore, I keep picking up products which claim to provide acne free skin. Fabindia clove cream is one of the latest product I got for eradicating acne from my face.

It comes in a plastic tub packing with a partition in between that prevents the leakage of the product from the tub. The packing looks kinda cute to me even though it’s very simple yet stubble. I use a popsicle stick to get a tiny amount of cream out of the tub since it gets very unhygienic dipping my fingers in the tub.

The cream has a very strong smell of clove. The smell itself is quiet irritating but then I felt maybe that’s the active ingredient of the cream and would help in getting rid of the acne on my face so I somehow bared the smell.

Texture wise, it is a smooth white colour cream. It is a water based cream which is a boon to oily skin beauties. The cream glides smoothly on the skin and it has an amazing texture.

How I Use it

I apply the cream twice a day as instructed, once in the morning and before going to bed. During the first few application my skin started to burn really bad. Since I have a very sensitive skin the burning was a bit too much for me. But, after few uses my skin developed a tolerance against the burning sensation.

Effects

The cream tends to dry out the skin a little bit. After 5 mins of application the cream gets completely absorbed by the skin and the strong clove smell fades away. The cream worked well on my acne as well as on the spots. My skin was getting better day by day. However, it took a while to show its effects on the spots. My spots were fading but very slowly which is not that bad though. After few days of usage I started to feel that the pimples are drying out and that helped in getting rid of them completely.

The cream contains clove oil and tea tree oil, both of these ingredients works very well to fight against acne since they have antiseptic as well as antibacterial properties. Its antibacterial properties help in preventing the pimple bacteria to spread all over the face and cause more breakouts.

Overall Verdict

Overall I am happy with the effects of the cream. The only thing that bothers me is the strong smell. If one can bare with the smell and the burning sensation, then I would suggest to go with this cream without thinking twice. I have almost finished half of the quantity given. The cream lasts for a very long time. The quantity is sufficient for such an affordable price range.
