My Experience:

I got this product in my Fabindia Haul which you can check out “HERE- Fabindia Haul

If you are Indian, it is next to impossible that you haven’t heard about “Multani Mitti” or Fuller’s Earth. It is one of those face packs which everyone has used in their lifetime. I remember using it during school days. It smelled amazing plus it cleared out my skin well. This baby we are going to talk about today has fuller’s earth as the base.

It comes in a nice little transparent tub with a screw lid. I would have preferred a tube packaging to be honest but because the product has a quite thick paste like consistency, I guess it would have been difficult to squeeze it out of the tube.

It smells of sandalwood and Sandalwood is one of my ultra favourite scents. I mean I can buy everything sandalwood. I apply the product evenly on my face and neck and it usually takes around 15-20 minutes to dry out completely. It does cause a tingling sensation all over the area of application, especially if you have sensitive skin like mine. However the tingling sensation does go away in approximately 7-8 minutes. I let it dry properly and then wash it off with water.

I find that the product gives my skin a tightened up feeling. It clears the skin and brightens up the face. It does dry out the skin, so I need a good moisturiser after using this product. If you are suffering from mild break outs, this product might help. Because whenever I notice those small little imps on my face, instead of popping them, I apply this mask and it dries out those bad boys.

The brightening effect this product provides however is not permanent. It lasts only for an hour may be. But the clearing part is good. Overall I would say it is a decent product for oily and combination skin beauties. It does nothing bigshot but yes, works as a normal fuller’s earth face pack. It brightens up the face and gets rid of impurities from the face.

I would recommend this to oily and combination skin beauties. Dry skin beauties might want to skip this because it does dry out the skin. If you use this, you need to moisturise your face really well after washing.

Pros of Fabindia Haldi Chandan Mud Pack:

1. Decent fuller’s Earth based face pack
2. Brightens up the skin
3. Cleans skin and dries out mild break outs
4. Smells of sandalwood which I completely love
5. Turmeric (Haldi) has anti bacterial propeties and Sandal (Chandan) is supposed to provide glow to the face. The combination is actually amazing.
6. Quite affordable
7. Easily available in Fabindia stores as well as online

Cons of Fabindia Haldi Chandan Mud Pack:

1. Tub packaging is not the most hygienic option
2. Some people may not like the tingling sensation that it gives
3. Contains parabens and SLES
4. I did not notice it doing anything permanent for my complexion
