Faces cosmetics for me has been a total stand out this year as far as new launches are concerned. This is because firstly their launches have been great quality in general and secondly because they are not way overpriced. Finally also because they have come up with some of the most innovative launches taking Indian market into consideration. Thanks to them we saw an ultimate highlighter – Faces Ultime Pro Illuminating Highlighter in the Indian market. Now, They have come up with 2 face palettes. I have already reviewed the Faces Ultime Pro Face Palette “Glow”. Today I am going to talk about the Faces Ultime pro Face palette “Fresh” today.

How to Use FACES Ultime Pro Face Palette Fresh

1. With a powder brush, take some bronzer and apply to the forehead, side of nose, apple of cheeks, cheek bones and jaw line for a perfect bronzed look.
2. A Touch of Highlight in the corner of your eyes will give you a wide awake look and on your cupid’s bow will make the lips look fuller.
3. Finish for highlighting the top of the cheekbones for the ultimate sculpted look.
4. Apply a light blush to your apples of the cheeks for a touch of colour to complete the look.

There are 3 pans in the palette – One with a Bronzer, second with a Blush and third with a Highlighter. Each one weighs 4 g. Therefore, doing a cost break down, each of these cost you ₹ 225.00 for 4 g which I think is a good deal.

In Detail FACES Ultime Pro Face Palette Fresh Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Faces Ultime Pro Fresh Palette comes in a very sleek case packaging. It has a see through top lid. It has a plastic body which shuts with a click. Hence no product spillage in the bag. Love that Faces has listed all the ingredients at the back of the cartoon box as well as the product case itself. There is no applicator sponge or brush provided. Also, there is no inbuilt mirror. For me, not really a con because I end up using my own brushes most of the times. The positive thing is, this makes the packaging more lightweight and easy to carry as well as reduces the cost of manufacturing slightly.

Also, the sitting rabbit sign indicates that the product has not been tested on animals which is awesome! I know no bunny or kitty went through troubles for me, which makes me happy.

The Bronzer

The bonzer in “fresh” palette has slight orange undertones as compared to the bronzer in “glow” palette. Also this one is a hair lighter than the other bronzer. Still the sheen this has is at par with the other bronzer. When you look very closely, you will notice minute shimmer particles, but not obvious otherwise.

I know a lot of you guys might feel that this shade wouldn’t suit Indian skin tones. However I feel this bronzer is meant for warming up the skin tone as well as adding a glowy sheen to the complexion. A bronzer is not meant for contouring as such. It is meant to provide a warmth to the complexion and this very well does that. Like I mentioned in the previous review, a bronzer must be only 1 or 2 shades deeper than your skin tone. This one I feel is 2 shades deeper than my skin tone which is great. Its a great bronzer to achieve a sun kissed glow.

The Blush

The blush in fresh palette is a lovely subtle pink with, what I can call some mauve undertones. This one has less sheen than the blush in glow palette. Nevertheless both are beautiful blush shades. Also, the pigmentation in this one is somewhat less than the pigmentation of glow palette blush.

This is one of those blush shades which you can wear on an everyday basis. This does not look too obvious. It just gives a natural pink flush on the cheeks. The texture of the blush is again finely milled and smooth. It applies beautifully on the cheeks and does not require layering. As you can see in the photos above and below, the blush blends like a dream.

It lasts on my face for around 3-4 hours without getting patchy. After this it starts fading evenly. I wish the staying power was longer though.

The Highlighter

Again this highlighter is the hero of this palette as well. Faces cosmetics has done a fantastic job coming up with these good quality highlighters in the Indian market. The blush gives a nice metallic glow to the skin. It does not have any shimmers in it, none that I could notice even on a close inspection. It just looks metallic on the skin.

I would define the shade as a lovely champagne shade with slightly more yellow undertones as compared to the highlighter in glow palette. This one is very insanely pigmented. Just like its counterpart in the glow palette. In both these palettes, highlighters have the maximum pigmentation.

Please let me know if you want me to compare these highlighters to high end highlighters like Becca Champagne Pop, Prosecco pop, colourPop highlighters, Anastasia so hollywood, Jeffree star skin frosts etc. I have a ton of highlighter sitting in my vanity and I am trying to cover them one by one.

This is in fact resembles becca’s champagne pop more closely than the highlighter in glow palette. Also, this resembles MAC Oh Darling Extra Dimension skin finish- almost 80% similar.

It has a fine texture with buttery smooth consistency. It almost feels creamy (but its a pressed pigment). This highlighter is the star of “fresh” palette as well. I promise I think I will use this more than anything in this palette. 😀 Its a very pretty shade of highlighter which will literally complement all skin tones equally.

Overall Verdict of FACES Ultime Pro Face Palette Fresh

I have to say, Face palettes by Faces cosmetics has been one of the best launches by the company so far. Lovely concept which doesn’t burn a hole in the pocket and yet feels like luxury makeup. So I would definitely recommend this to you guys. It will become available online soon, so the wait is going to be over soon. 🙂
