Garnier fructis is one of the very well known hair care brands in India. I remember buying the green coloured bottle of Garnier Fructis when I was a kid. In Detail Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Strengthening Shampoo Review

This new range of Garnier Fructis products under the name of “Triple Nutrition” have been launched with yellow coloured packaging. With a flip open top, the shampoo is fairly safe to travel with. The “Triple” here means nutrition for Scalp, Lengths and Tips. Now, one thing I would like to mention here is, this particular shampoo is different from the one which was launched in the USA under the same name. The USA one mentions “dry and damaged hair” on the front label however the Indian variety does not have this special mention. Also, the ingredients do differ slightly.

The shampoo has the typical Garnier fructis shampoo fragrance which is mostly floral. The consistency of the shampoo is more on the runny side. Everytime I use it, I need a little more than a coin sized amount for my past waist length hair.

How I Use it

I take the above mentioned amount of the shampoo and massage it on wet hair concentrating on the roots mostly. I always use normal tap water to wash my hair, I never use hot water or ice cold water on my hair.

Effects

I have used it on oiled hair and non oiled hair, both the ways it leaves my hair squeaky clean. However my concern is, whenever I use this shampoo, it leaves my hair quite dry. It also caused some hair fall which freaked me out. So I stopped using it for a while, however one fine day I decided to try it again. This time as well, the shampoo dried my hair out and caused hair fall. On the positive side, it did clean my hair thoroughly, and made them really soft.

So overall, as you may guess, I didn’t really like the shampoo. Although it is okay for someone who usually does not get hairfall but for me, hairfall is the most scary thing. Anything which gives me hairfall is a big NO NO for me. Also, because it dried out my hair, I had to use my hair masque more frequently than I normally would.

However I also feel that sometimes some products may react differently on different people. So if you really want to try it out, go ahead and try a small sized bottle or a sachet. For me personally, I did not find it nourishing on my hair at all. So yes, it was a disappointment.
