Cleansing Toning and Moisturising is the basic skin regime which everyone of us must follow to keep our skin looking young and plump. I used to skip using a toner on my face but of late I have been toning my face regularly. I started using the Himalaya toner since the brand has a good reputation of not using very harsh chemicals in their products.

What it does

Himalaya’s Refreshing & Clarifying Toner is made from a blend of natural ingredients that control excess oil secretion and cleanse oil from the skin’s surface. The herbal goodness of ingredients like Lentil, which deep cleanses pores, Citrus Lemon, a natural astringent and cleanser which tightens pores and refreshes skin, and Boerhavia Root extract which controls excess oil secretion, leave your skin clear, soft and radiant.

In Detail Himalaya Herbals Refreshing and Clarifying Toner Review and My Experience

The toner comes in a plastic bottle with a flip open top. It is travel friendly but you got to watch out for leaks as when it gets pressed, it tends to leak out even when its closed. Now I know it mentions all the natural ingredients in the description, but it does contain the following,

Phenoxyethanol IP, Methylisothiazolinone, Benzoic acid, Sodium Benzoate IP

so it does have some chemicals in it with the natural contents mentioned above.

However what I really appreciate is the fact that this toner is Alcohol free and contains the minimum set of chemicals as compared to other toners in the market these days. It has a lovely kinda flowery fragrance which I really like. It has a water like consistency and is basically a colourless fluid.

How I Use it

I take a cotton pad and take the product over it. I then apply it all over on my face first dabbing it and then applying very mild wiping pressure while I work it all over my face and neck.

When I see the cotton afterwards, it has got impurities sticking onto it which proves the fact that howmuchever one cleans their face, one always needs a toner to further clarify the face. I notice this does tighten the pores on my face. After applying it, it controls the oil on the face for sometime but this effect is not very long lasting since I find the T-zone on my face starting to look shiny in a couple of hours.

1. Oily skin beauties will have a slight trouble with this as this makes the T zone get shiny after a few hours
2. If you have sensitive skin, this is a great product to try
3. It is an alcohol free toner so won’t dry out the skin very much, dry skin beauties should give this a try
4. Always follow the CTM routine (Cleansing, Toning and Moisturising)
