Heya everyone! Hope you all are doing good. So I am back with another review . This time it’s not going to be a makeup product, but skincare. So as I use so many makeup products, I need to take care of my skin. Skincare products are one of the essentials that we all need in everyday use. One can’t skip the skincare essentials. Now as I use so much makeup on every day basis, I am prone to breakouts more often. So I went ahead and bought this product for my oily acne prone skin. Let us go through the Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser Review.
Claims for Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser
Inspired by Kiehl’s venerable and most enduring preparation, Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion, this purifying gel cleanser thoroughly cleans pores and removes traces of dirt, residue and oil which can lead to acne break-outs. Mild cleansing agents are used to formulate a completely oil-free but non-drying preparation which helps keep skin clear of new acne.
Cinnamon Bark Extract
Cinnamon Bark Extract is taken from the dried bark of cultivated trees and is considered to be of much higher quality than extract derived from leaves. It contains an essential oil that is not only recognized for its soothing effects, but is also known to have antibacterial properties.

In Detail Kiehl’s Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser Review and My Experience
The kiehls blue herbal gel cleanser comes in a long plastic bottle with a flip top cap which can opened as a screw top also. The bottle is quite big in size. Hence I wouldn’t recommend you to carry the bottle along with you. Although I personally carry this face wash along everyday and haven’t noticed product getting spilled out or so. So overall a decent packaging, but not travel friendly due to the bigger size of the bottle.
The kiehls blue herbal range has a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. So overall all products for CTM routine. (cleansing, toning, moisturising.)
So before starting with the review of the kiehls blue herbal gel cleanser let me tell you all a bit about my skin. I have combination to oily skin. Also, I do have some open pores. Often I get breakouts, so also have an acne prone skin.
The face wash is very-very liquid-y in consistency therefore pretty runny. The cleanser is blue in colour. It has a strong mint kind of herbal fragrance to it. I use this particular face wash twice or sometimes trice a day. After using this cleanser my skin feels soft and smooth. I get a very cool and refreshed feeling. It just makes my skin feel awake. It keeps the excess oil away from the face for sometime.
Now it does not have any surfactant based ingredient in it so it is not harmful for the skin. It’s very lightweight. Now this cleanser does not remove any makeup properly. This face wash performs decent on my skin as a mild refreshing cleanser. It helps with my old pimples drying out but, does not do anything for my active pimples which pop out every now and then. I couldn’t even see any difference in my open pores. Although I have been using this cleanser at least twice a day, I haven’t seen any major effects yet.
Overall i do like this face wash as a normal daily face wash. However, I wouldn’t recommend it to you if you have active acne or pimples because this does not help with that. Hence beauties who have oily, combination or normal skin type with not much problematic skin will love it as an everyday soothing and refreshing cleanser.
