Now lakme has about 20 different shades to offer in this collection. I have already swatched all the lip shades from this collection. So you can check them out. They have huge variants of colour option. All the brands have an affordable matte lipsticks range in their collection. Only lakme was lacking behind somewhere. So here’s what our favourite brand came up with. An affordable matte range. I am comparing this affordable range with maybelline colorshow lipstick. So let’s see in the review whether this range is good or not and is it better than maybelline COLORSHOW lipsticks. How to use the product

Step 1: Stretch the lips and start at the centre, putting on the lipstick to the corners.

Step 2: Blot the lipstick with a tissue and reapply the lipstick. This will ensure an intense color payoff.

Step 3: Make sure the lipstick has not smudged over the line of your lips

In Detail Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 11 Review, Swatches, FOTD and My Experience

The lipstick comes housed in outer silver cardboard box. The actual lipstick has a transparent tube with a clear lid. The shade number is mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick. I don’t like when brands name there lipstick in number rather than giving names to it. At times it’s very hard to remember the numbers. The cap of the lipstick shuts down tightly. Hence there is no chance of product getting spoiled. There packaging is similar to their enrich satin range. Just that it has a matte bullet. I am not sure if I like the packaging of this lipstick.

Now coming on to the shades they have about 20 different shades to offer, which I love. They have some beautiful shades in their collection. The shade I will be reviewing today is PM11 which is a pink shade. Now they have numbered the lipstick in such a way like there PM stands for pink matte, OM stands for orange matte. RM stands for red matte etc. So, it’s very easy to decide the colour family they belong to. The shade PM 11 is a beautiful bright pink which has a hint of blue undertones in it. It’s such a pretty shade. It instantly brightens up my complexion.

Though lakme claims this to be a matte lipstick. But I don’t find this lipstick to be a matte lipstick. It is more of a semi-matte lipstick. The formula is comfortable when you apply it. It glides easily on the lips. But after a while or so I see the lipstick getting patchy on the lips. Usually I feel my lips drying from the inner corners of the lips but here my lips feel overall dry. The formula feels like its falling apart after some time. Really not impressed with the formula here. Although shade selection has impressed me but here lakme fails to impress me in terms of the semi matte finish that they have and crumpy formula. No doubt maybelline colorshow wins my heart.

The lipstick stays on my lips for 4-5 hours maximum and darker colours do leave a stain behind.

Pros of Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 11

1) nice shade selection in the Lakme enrich matte range.
2) pretty pink shade.
3) easily available.
4) lipstick glides on smoothly when you apply it.
5) decently priced. won’t say it is affordable as they have raised the price of the enrich lipstick by saying that this is a matte lipstick. There enrich lipstick was more affordable than this range.

Cons of Lakme Enrich Matte Lipstick PM 11

1) crumpy texture.
2) semi matte formula.
3) lips feels dry and lipstick looks uneven/patchy after a 3 hours or so.
4) not the best quality packaging.

MBF Advises

1) if you have dry lips I would suggest you to use a lip balm underneath your lips.
2) as I said that this lipstick has a semi matte finish, to make it matte you can apply the lipstick and then blot the tissue on top of your lips to make it a matte lipstick.
3) to remove the lipstick use a good makeup remover or coconut oil.
