Lotus Herbals is one of the Indian brands which produces decent quality makeup. They came up with this all natural Ecostay range sometime back with all natural ingredients in this collection. I got a few products from this line and hopefully will review all one by one.

How to use
Outline your lips with the lipliner.Hold the tube of lipstick to your lips and carefully apply it within the lines you drew with your lipliner. Start from the center of your lips and brush the lipstick outward, filling in all the gaps. ﾕFor a more precise application, use a lipstick brush. ﾕIf you go outside the lines of your lipliner, wipe the excess lipstick away with a tissue. ﾕLook in the mirror to make sure that you’re filling in the lines correctly. Applying lipstick without a mirror can lead to silly consequences.
Not mentioned anywhere on the packaging or the lipstick shell.
In Detail Lotus Herbals Ecostay Long Lasting Lip Colour Rose Mary 408 Review and My Experience
The lipstick comes in a satin pouch. A lovely rose gold outer shell with the logo on one end. Inside it has the classic twist up mechanism. This particular shade is called 408 Rose Mary and the only reason I decided to go with this shade was I like the name 😀
The lipstick does not have any particular scent to it. I wanted it to smell like rosemary 😛 But 😀
Formula and Texture
As far as the formula is concerned, I am not particularly a big fan since I find it rather drying. The texture of the lipstick is matte. It does not swipe easily on the lips and so it most definitely needs a lip balm underneath. If my lips feel dry, I need to exfoliate them before putting this on or it can accentuate the fine lines. I wish the formula was a little bit buttery.
It is not a very opaque lipstick speaking in general but of course the pigment is buildable. You need approximately 3 swipes to get a decent opaque coverage. Not to mention because of the drying formula, it may look patchy if you are not careful with even application.
Shade 408 Rose Mary
I would describe this shade as a brick red shade which leans towards a little bit on the maroon domain. I feel this would go along well with almost all Indian skin tones.
Staying power of this lipstick is somewhere around 4-5 hours. This does not transfer a lot too. When it fades away, it doesn’t leave patches. It kind of fades away very evenly.
This lipstick is essentially a matte lipstick with a drying formula. You need to slather on lip balm before putting this on. Beauties who get dry lips need to exfoliate their lips before using this in order to get a flawless look. At a cost of 545/- I guess these are decent lipsticks. Though they say it has all natural ingredients and SPF 20, I really really wish they had the ingredient list mentioned on the product.
Do I recommend this?
Based on my description above, you can go for it. This is one of the shades which looks pretty on dusky skin tones. Though as mentioned in the review, I don’t really like the formula of the lipstick, however they have some nice shades in the collection
