LUSH Mask of Magnaminty
I am going to review a face mask today which is loved by all the people that use it. I have used a sample size of it in the past and I enjoyed it. I rediscovered my Love for it when Nicole from YouTube talked about it. I remembered and I was like omg! I need to get this! 😛
Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads of aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe. Our inventors created Mask of Magnaminty to be the ‘ultimate face mask’, intense but not harsh or abrasive on the skin. We recommend using Mask of Magnaminty weekly to keep the skin in good condition.
500/- INR for 125 g of product.
Bentonite Gel , Kaolin , Honey (Mel) , Talc , Ground Aduki Beans (Phaseolus) , Glycerine , Evening Primrose Seeds (Oenothera biennis) , Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita) , African Marigold Oil (Tagetes erecta) , Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia) , *Limonene , Perfume , Chlorophyll , Methylparaben
Plaster this deep green mask all over your clean face, neck and back. Leave it on for up to 15 minutes then wash it off with warm water, massaging as you go (avoiding the eye area). For best results, follow with a LUSH Moisturizer that best suits your skin type. Mask of Magnaminty will remain fresh for up to four months. Always check the expiration date on your product.
The company calls this as a face and back mask. It is supposed to work on your spots and reduce them visibly by the combined action of peppermint and china clay. These ingredients are supposed to exert a magnet like action which will pull the impurities out of the skin.
This product lies in my shower all the time. I apply it 15-20 minutes before I go to shower and by the time it dries out. As soon as yu apply this on you skin, you can feel the fresh cool sensation of peppermint on the skin with a teeny bit of tingling sensation which is completely safe. It smells of fresh peppermint which is quite obvious as peppermint is one of the major contents. It has this thick paste like consistency with a granular texture because of those aduki beans inside. As it dries out, I take some water and splash on to my face after which I use circular motions and use the make to scrub my face with it. Because of its natural ingredients, it is actually a very good scrub too!
I find that this leaves my skin very clean and soft feeling. It removes the impurities very effectively. It also controls oils on my skin to an extent and brightens up the face. If I were to choose between a regular clay mask and this one, I would definitely go for the later.
I can’t comment upon the spots clearing aspect as the SA claimed but yes, I do love it as a face mask and cleanser. I have been using this continuously and I am very sure the I am going to repurchase this over and over again. It is decently priced because the product does last you for quite a long time if used only on the face like me. If you use it on the back, it might last a little bit lesser than that.
1. Cleans, brightens and softens the skin. Tightens pores and controls oils to certain extent.
2. Easily available at LUSH stores and according to me the price is okay considering all the natural goodness inside with almost nil preservatives.
3. Great product for oily skin types
4. Dries up 15-20 minutes.
1. Tub packaging, but oh well, its LUSH and they have all their stuff in Tubs, so I am not sure if I am complaining here 😛
2. If you do wash it out of your shower i.e. near the sink etc, this might be a little messy.
Absolutely, this is an amazing product and I guess you need to give this a shot 🙂
