In Detail Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil Berry Much Review, Swatches and My Experience

Now my taste and preferences in lip products has changed considerably since I bought these but I will be telling you about my experience from when I bought these. It would only be fair. So let’s talk about the color first. It’s a little dull, whilst I was expecting a bit of a brighter berry tone. However I didn’t own any color like this so I’m like it’s something new, I’ll make it work.

Coming to the formula, now I expected this to be matte and as you can see in the pictures below, it’s anything but. The shine does reduce as time passes but that’s just annoying. I’m not a fan of shiny lip products and that too, ones that are meant to be matte but aren’t. That being said, because it’s not super matte, it’s quite comfortable on the lips so I could wear it at university all day and it wouldn’t bother me.

Application wise, it glides on smoothly and is quite pigmented. Since it is a jumbo pencil, it’s a lot easier to apply then a traditional lipstick.

I think it all boils down to preference honestly. If you want something that’s comfortable and wears decently but isn’t too long lasting, or super matte, then this is for you! However that isn’t my preference so I barely reach for this. I did reach for the red when I got it initially but it’s still pretty much unused, neglected in my closet!
