Packaging

It has Maybelline traditional twist up bullet packaging with plumy brown cover on it. All the details and shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube.

Texture and Finish

As the name suggests it has creamy texture and simply glides like butter on my lips . There is no tugging or pulling while application and creamy texture makes it very comfortable to wear for longer period of time.

Mostly the matte lipsticks which are available in market have very glossy finish in their initial application and dry down to matte after few hours. I was in the same apprehension. But surprisingly this goes completely matte in its single swipe. However, it doesn’t provide the powdery matte finish like liquid mattes.

Pigmentation

It has one swipe opacity no matter how much pigmented the lips are. The best part is, it don’t get cakey on multiple applications.

My Experience

I generally prefer using creamy matte lipsticks in winter rather than liquid to matte, just because of the fact that it doesn’t dry up the lips unlike liquid to matte lipsticks.

The shade mesmerizing magenta is such a gorgeous deep pink shade with purple undertones in it. It is perfect pink for dusky skin tones. It gives perfect matte finish in its initial application but takes few minutes to get set on the lips . Being a creamy lipstick it does transfer initially. But once set it transfers minimal. It is not the kiss proof type but doesn’t transfers a tonne as most of of the creamy lipsticks do.

Even after several hours of wearing I don’t find any bleeding or feathering of lipstick which again is a plus for me. It gets completely wiped off after meals but leaves behind a strong stain.

Longevity

It has impressive staying power of 5+ hours with eating and drinking. It is practical that we can’t avoid eating or drinking while lipstick is on. Being creamy in texture it transfers a lot while having oily or greasy meals. But light snacking and drinking doesn’t bother the lipstick. It has tendency to transfer but not as much as the other creamy lipsticks.

After meals I notice that lipstick fades off from centre and outer corner of my lips but the faded areas are strongly stained and while pressing the lips together the colour gets even out.
