In Detail Nivea Hydro Care Lip Protection Balm With Pure Water & Aloe Vera Review
Dry and chapped lips are everyone’s nightmare. Be it a girl or a guy, everyone hates to make an appearance with dry and cracky lips. It is also a fact that every now and then our lips do get all dry and chapped. Here come lip balms and chapsticks to the rescue. Speaking about my vanity, it has a bowl full of lip hydrating products. I mean lip balms are one of those things which you just gotta have. It is a necessity. I picked this up I think while I was standing in the billing counters of a supermarket and well of course I was bored and was checking out everything that I could get my hands on in the display shelf 😀 This has been sitting in my college bag since 3-4 months now and I finally took it out for a review 😀
This comes in a nice little regular lip balm tube with a blue and white label. As classic as it can be. The product basically is a clear lip balm which comes as a white stick inside the tube. It is a twist up tube so we have a control over how much bullet we actually want above the brim. It does not have any fragrance as such. If you get your nose really close to it, you may smell a very clean sort of a scent which is actually pretty good.
Coming to how this works, it does work on mild to moderately chapped lips but I find this does not really help with heavily chapped lips. For mild to moderately chapped lips, apply it in the night when you sleep quite generously for a couple of days and in the morning it does seem to have worked pretty well in repairing the dry lips. During the days, you can wear it as a clear lip balm or use it as a base to your lipstick or lip stain. It stays on the lips and keeps the lips moisturised for a decent amount of time say may be 2-3 hours after which you need re application.
Overall I would say it is a decent clear lip balm which delivers quite well according to its cost. The ingredients list does look pretty long but it is mostly good stuff in there so we do not have to worry about that. Clear lip balms I feel are a necessity in every girl’s handbag as well as vanity and this is a good option.
