In Detail Sephora 10HR Fix & Correct Concealer Review, Swatches and My Experience

Packaging, Color and Coverage

The Sephora 10 Hour Fix and Correct Concealer is a dual ended twist up pen. One side has the corrector while the other side has the dark circle eraser. This is a multi-purpose pen that is designed to conceal your major/minor flaws from one end while the other end is designated for the purpose of correcting those panda eyes. The corrector side is pretty narrow while the dark circle side is a bit wider. I am in the shade 26 Peach, which is perfect for my fair to medium skin tone. It does a good job at concealing by offering medium coverage, which is not buildable, unfortunately.

The company claims that the coverage is full. However, I don’t agree as it works differently on those panda eyes and flaws. The dark circles are covered to a good extent (i.e. medium coverage), while any redness and flaws on the face are concealed beautifully (i.e. full coverage). Also, this is fragrance-free.

Texture, Finish and Lasting Power

The Sephora 10 Hour Fix and Correct concealer has a creamy texture when you swatch it first. However, when applied it tends to dry the skin out, due to the presence of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a great ingredient to treat acne. The minor flaws have no problem of drying out whatsoever. It is ideal to blend the product in with your fingers as I find that works the best with this product.

The concealer dries to a super matte finish. This is the contrary to what the company claims as it is not moisturizing at all. Also, cannot be built up as it may not be easy to blend out. I love the fact that it is crease-proof. This concealer stays put for about five hours when set with a good powder. In the hot weather, the longevity may differ. You need to re-touch every few hours irrespective of the weather though.

Overall Verdict

The Sephora 10 Hour Fix and Correct Concealer is a decent product which works amazingly in covering acne marks, minor flaws on the skin. It is crease-proof which is definitely the best part about it. I do not like how drying it is, especially around your eyes! Overall, an okay product which you can definitely give a pass, as you have amazing drugstore concealer options available!

MBF Advices

1. Due to the drying effect on the under eye area, make sure to use a good eye cream to make blending easy.
2. Set it with a good powder to maximize the wear time.
3. For minor imperfections, just dot the area and blend with your fingers.
4. If the concelaer is still drying, use some rose water to help the product melt in.

This sounds nice but it definitely won’t be a match for my super deep dark circles.
