In Detail Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time Vivid Lipstick 02 Breaking Bare Review, Swatches, FOTD and my experience
Sugar cosmetics is a relatively new name in the beauty industry and they are sure creating a buzz among us. They launched this range of lipsticks which is supposed to be moisturising and at the same time give a matte look. I purchased them because I love testing out new products and this was the shade I wanted to try out first.
The pout time vivid lipsticks come in a black matte finish case (cap and base). The shade of the lipstick is written on one side. When I open it, the A-shell is also black but has a metallic finish to it. The squarish look of the lipstick is quite different and I have to say I quite like it. The lipstick bullet goes to the bottom with a click when twisted down, plus the cap closes firmly as well so its pretty safe to travel with. The only problem is, if you have a little bit of the product on your fingers, it transfers on the case and does not come off easily.
Formula and Texture
Is this the best moisturising matte lipstick available in the drugstore market? I say no. It is creamy and does not feel super dry. (I would avoid saying that it’s moisturising). The texture is smooth and it is easy to apply on the lips. The lipstick does transfer a little bit on objects. It does not settle down or accentuate fine lines on the lips.
Breaking Bare 02 shade and pigmentation
I feel this is a lovely shade. Its a universally flattering shade which will suit both lighter and deeper skin tones. On lighter skin tones, this tends to look more mauve-nudish-pink shade whereas on deeper skin tones, this could be a perfect MLBB shade. It is a wonderful everyday wear shade and will go with all kind of dresses. The Pigmentation of this lipstick is pretty good. It needs a single swipe normally but if I want a perfect colour finish, I do need to go twice or thrice.
This has a great staying power of approximately 5-6 hours without eating or drinking anything which reduces to around 3-4 hours with meals. It does not leave any stain behind when removed with a makeup remover.

CONs of Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-Pout Time Vivid Lipstick 02 Breaking Bare
1. Transfers a little on objects.
2. Smudges around the edges of the lips.
3. Not moisturising enough for beauties with dry lips.
Its a lovely shade of matte lipstick by Sugar cosmetics and they deserve a thumbs up for coming up with this shade. I strongly advice wearing a lip liner before putting on this lipstick because of 2 reasons:
1. The lipstick smudges around the edges of the lips.
2. Because of the flat top of the lipstick bullet, it is quite difficult to wear it directly specially around the outer corners of the lips. So I always have to use a lip brush if not a lip liner.
Although this gives an even finish normally, I suggest prepping up the lips a little for the beauties who have dry lips to get a super smooth finish.
