The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel Review: Hey guys, so if you saw my recent The Body Shop Haul, you know I actually wanted to purchase only this product. However I ended up getting so much more. In fact, this is not my first purchase for TBS British Rose Shower Gel. This is the 3rd time I am getting this because I absolutely love roses. At one time, I usually have like 4 or 5 or more types of shower gels and scrubs in my shower. I just use one type someday and the other type next day. I guess most of us do this because its good to have a little variety in some daily use products. Therefore, let us talk more about this particular product and see how it fared for me below.

In Detail The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel Review, Swatches and My Experience

The British Rose shower gel comes in a basic transparent sturdy plastic bottle. The cap is screw/flip open type and black in colour. What makes this packaging really attractive is the light baby pink colour of the shower gel with the matte black cap. Looks totally cool. I love the fact that TBS always has a detailed ingredient list on their products. Also, they never test on animals. 🙂

The British Rose shower gel smells like you’re walking in a rose garden. Smells absolutely fresh and exhilarating. The consistency of the shower gel is like a creamy gel which is not very runny. I foams up quite easily with a loofah or a bath lily as body shop likes to call it.

The shower gel effectively cleans the skin without making it feel super dry. I love the fact that the smell actually stays behind for an hour approximately after the shower. You can use products from the same range like their body lotion as well as their perfumes to make this amazing smell last even longer.

In fact if you guys don’t know, TBS recently dropped their prices on shower gels as well as on a bunch of other products in India. Earlier this shower gel used to cost ₹ 450/- for 250 mL but now, it only costs ₹ 345/- for 250 mL. In addition, TBS keeps coming up with sales and discounts all year long. Hence, it you look out for it, its pretty likely that you’ll be able to catch some good deal and get this for even lesser amount.

Overall Verdict

Overall I have to say that this is a really nice shower gel. It cleanses effectively and does not make my skin feel stretchy or over dry. But basically, the reason why I purchase this over and over is the smell. I love roses and this shower gel smells like fresh roses. Hence, I think I will always have this in my shower. Plus of course, TBS shower gels have become really affordable now. So there is no reason I should not love them. 🙂 If you haven’t tried a TBS shower gel yet, you should totally try one because these are amazing.

PROs of The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel

1. I really love the packaging.
2. Smells super amazing like fresh roses.
3. Cleanses the skin well.
4. Does not over dry my skin.
5. Lathers up nicely with a loofah or a bath lily.
6. Isn’t very expensive now.
7. TBS does not test their products on animals.

CONs of The Body Shop British Rose Shower Gel

1. Contains surfactant in form of sulphates but it’s okay because I do not mind sulphates in my skin cleansing products generally. There are only a few brands which have sulphate free cleansing products, and those are quite costly. So if you do not mind sulphates much, the TBS shower gels are a great option.

MBF Advises

1. Always do a patch text before trying out any new product or formulation.
2. Although this does not over dry the skin, it does not moisturise either. So always use a moisturiser based on your skin type.
3. Try to look out for discounts and sales by TBS to get their products for less than the MRP.
4. If you want the scent to last even longer, use moisturisers and perfumes from the same range by TBS.
