This is the 2nd Goji Berry mask I used this week. I have been loving sheet masks since I started using them last month. How to Use The Face Shop Real Nature Goji Berry Face Mask

Unfold the mask and carefully place it on your freshly cleansed face, avoiding the eye and mouth contours. Remove after 10-12 minutes and tap gently on skin until the serum is completely absorbed.

Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use on irritated skin. Discontinue use if irritation or rash appears.

In Detail The Face Shop Real Nature Goji Berry Face Mask Review and My Experience

The face mask comes in a simple yet user friendly grey coloured packaging. There is a mark near the top on the packaging from where you can tear off the cover so no need of scissors. At the back, all the details about the product is mentioned in English as well as Korean. The sticker at the back of my face mask is put by the retailer who sells these in India.

Inside the packet, the mask is kept folded soaking in the serum. The serum in fact is of a very velvety consistency. Not at all oily or greasy feeling. The sheet is this very soft cotton fabric. However I feel the fabric of this mask is slightly thicker than the fabric of The Face Shop Solution Brightening Face Mask. May be “the solutions” range by face shop have a thinner sheet. Also, the sheet in Goji Berry mask isn’t layered upon a thin plastic film. Its just folded on itself here.

How I Use it

Before applying any face mask, I make sure I wash my face. Then I unfold this mask and gently put it on my face and adjust it upon my facial contours. The serum is not watery so it does not drip down or anything. This fits pretty well on my face but there are some folds created around my chin area (I have a small chin 😛 ). I let the mask sit on my face till it dries completely, which usually takes around 15-20 minutes.

During this time, I do some household chores or other work. This mask stays put and does not slide off my face. After removing the mask, I gently tap and slightly massage my skin to spread the remaining traces of serum evenly on my skin.

Effects

Immediately after removing the mask, I notice how hydrated my facial skin appears. It almost packs some hydration on my facial skin. Due to this, my skin appears more supple. It also feel more soft and smooth. There is no extra brightening effect as such. Basically this provides good nourishment and moisturises my skin well to make it appear more plump and smooth (chikni 😛 ).

Yesterday I had used it in the night if you have seen my instagram post. Today morning while writing this, my skin still feels more hydrated and nourished as compared to normal days. Because I did use one of these on 31st March as well, its effects remained on my skin for around a day and a half. Also, if you wash your face with a soap based face wash, the effects may wear off sooner than that. Because I mostly use a soap free cleanser for my face, I feel may be that’s the reason its hydration stays on my face for a little longer.

Overall, I honestly feel that this mask is a great hydration booster for the skin. However this is not going to impart any extra glow or brightness to the skin as such. But still I love how my combination skin (these days more towards dry) appears more nourished and feels very soft and smooth. I would definitely recommend this to ladies with all skin types. However if you have sensitive/acne prone skin, please do a patch test before using it all over your facial skin.

1. If you have sensitive or acne prone skin, please use this face mask with caution. I would suggest doing a patch test properly first with some serum inside the packet before using it all over the face.
2. I cannot stress enough how important it is to always cleanse your face well before applying any face mask or doing any facial treatment.
3. If you need to apply makeup immediately after using this mask, wash your face lightly with water. Then after apply makeup.
4. It’s always a good idea to give your skin a little pampering session every once or twice a week.
5. Also, you can store the mask sheet before opening the packet in refrigerator. This way, when you use it, it will give you an added cooling effect on the skin.

(It basically does what it claims i.e. provides good hydration. However the effects aren’t very long lasting. This is great for “on the go pamper sessions” or for my busy bees out there. 🙂 )
