In Detail Absolute New York Flawless Face Foundation Primer Lavender Review, Swatches and My Experience

Absolute New York primer comes wrapped in a thin plastic and does not come with any outer box. On opening, the primer has just 20 ml of product and is poured in a sleek tiny see through tube where we can see the primer clearly.

All the information related to the primer is written on the back and front of the primer. It has a black colored twist open cap and the tube has a small nozzle which squeezes right amount of product as we need. Overall I loved the packaging of it, it’s tiny and compact and can fit in any bag easily hence it becomes easy to travel with, but I feel the primer quantity is very less as compared to the price it is available at.

The primer comes in 3 shades that’s Clear, Green and Lavender. The shade I am reviewing is Lavender. The primer is odourless. It does not have any fragrance into it which I like.

The consistency of the primer is sort of balmy it has a very silicon-y texture as it is silicone based primer. It has a very silky finish which applies easily on the face.

I take a pea size amount of this primer and apply it mainly concentrating on my nose and cheek area where I have a problem of open pores and textured skin. It makes my pores shrink a bit but not completely and also it helps in making my textured skin remarkably smoother to touch and my foundation glides on smoothly and effortlessly without looking patchy.

I will not recommend to apply this primer in large quantity as it can make your base slippery. Hence, a pea size amount is enough to cover face as well as neck.

Also, to be honest I have not noticed any difference after applying a coloured primer – the Lavender, green or clear primer – as they work the same for me. 

The primer is good for all skin type beauties. Dry skin girls can also wear this without any worry as it will not make their skin more dry. I have seen that silicone based primers tends to break out my skin easily as I have very sensitive oily acne prone skin. However, I have not noticed any break outs using this primer.

Infact it makes my makeup look flawless. I have applied this primer with my foundations as well as BB creams (I am taking about ponds and Maybelline bb cream) and it has made my base last longer and my skin was shine free for longer period of time. I can easily wear this alone or under my base to achieve flawless and smooth looking base.

If you are allergic to silicones in your makeup and skincare, please do not purchase this product because it will clog your pores and break you out.
