In Detail All SUVA Beauty Hydra Liners / FX 10 Shades Review, Swatches
The SUVA Beauty Liners come in a transparent tub packaging which is very lightweight and easy to carry and travel with. Transparent packagings are always a thumbs up because you can spot the colours without opening the packaging. It would have been really nice if they included a mini brush with the product, but even otherwise its cool.
As of now, there are 19 colours in the Suva beauty hydra liners which is amazing so one has a variety of options to choose colours from. We specifically don’t want to call these Hydra Liners as “EYEliners” because these are such versatile use liners. Not just eyes, one can use these anywhere on the body to create a work of art – makeup art.
There are some incredible array of shades in these Hydra liners. They are mainly categorised under 2 broad types – Hydra Liners and Hydra FX. These look almost exactly the same packaging wise. So What is the difference you ask? Here’s the reveal
What is the Difference Between SUVA Beauty’s Hydra Liners and Hydra FX?
Well one thing is certain. All these Hydra liners/FX can be used on the skin of face and body for painting or creating art. However “Hydra FX” are not meant to be used around the immediate eye area. These can be used on the face or anywhere on the body except for eyes. On the other hand, “Hydra Liners” can be used on the eyes, face as well as body- basically all over.
In a line, “Hydra liners” are safe for using on the eyes but not “Hydra FX”.
There is a common confusion that “Hydra FX” are the UV or glow in the dark shades. This is not true. There are “Hydra FX” colours which are not UV for example, “Cherry Bomb” is a Hydra FX shade and it does not glow in the dark.
SUVA Beauty tells us that their product is not a gel liner + it is also not waterproof. Usually pot eyeliners are gel liners, so I guess they wanted to clarify that.
Secondly, it is a water activated product. And yes, the other way round it true as well. It gets washed out with water. So obviously this is not something you should wear on its own if you want to go out partying or clubbing. Even a little bit of sweat will mess this up so much. Also, don’t even try using this on the waterline!
Can We Make the SUVA Beauty Liners/FX Waterproof?
We approached SUVA Beauty and asked them if these can be made waterproof and they suggested a trick! So YES, we can make them waterproof.
How to Make SUVA Beauty Liners/FX Waterproof?
Lash Glue is what SUVA Beauty suggests. They say you can either apply a thin layer of lash glue and then apply the liner on top. OR, you can apply the liner and then apply a layer of lash glue on top of the liner. This should render them waterproof for all practical purposes.
Some might argue that lash glue can change the color vibrancy of the shade itself. But we doubt if the effect is going to be so super prominent on camera since we understand these liners are majorly meant to be used for fashion shoots and makeup shots. Not really meant to be worn as your regular liners when you go out (Unless you seal them with a lash glue).
So if you’re into makeup and fashion shoots, face and body painting, you create instagram eye looks with a lot of art work and creativity, these liners are for you! The shades available at SUVA are unlike you might have ever seen before. Very very vibrant and colourful collection, and this is something we all must appreciate about the brand. Unique concept as well as unique shades.
Please Note– These SUVA Hydra Liners/FX may take a while to dry in the pot once you activate them. Specially some shades like Space Panda, Grease etc. So make sure to keep them in a really clean and dry area to dry them. Drying time also depends on the environmental humidity at that time. Make sure that these are completely dry before you close the lid and store them.
Did we tell you, there are super high chances that these are going to be a complete HIT during the halloween season. Specially in the countries where they celebrate halloween!
We currently were able to procure 10 shades from this range. First, right now these are not directly available in India as we write this. Secondly, the “instagram sellers” we got them from charge super high amounts. Hopefully in future we will get all the shades and update them in this post right here.
