Avene Cold Cream Ultra Rich Cleansing Bar Review: I am not usually a soap bar person unless we are talking LUSH. Oh I used to absolutely love LUSH products. Sadly, they closed down in India a few years ago. Coming back, today I am going to talk about a cleansing bar which is soap free. So although it looks like a soap bar, its not exactly a soap bar. Ahem (sophisticated)! we shall call it a cleansing bar.

This cleansing bar from Avene apparently is unlike any other cleansing products before. It is enriched with cold cream and is meant for dry or sensitive skin. Avene says that it can be used for infants, children, adults as well as seniors. Let us talk more about my experience with this below.

In Detail Avene Cold Cream Ultra Rich Cleansing Bar Review and My Experience

The Avene cleansing bar comes in an off white colour outer paper box. It has all the details about the product. The packaging basically is very simplistic yet informative. It says on the package that the product is made in France. Hence, one expects really good quality.

It has a very nice mild yet soothing creamy fragrance. A little powder like may be, but not exactly. The bar creates a lovely luxurious lather. Its rich and silky, totally love it.

How I Use it

I have been using it for bathing regularly. Because I have dry skin on my body, I think this is a perfect option for me when I do not have the time to moisturise separately. In the mornings usually I am always in a hurry. Once I bathe my baby and feed her, I have to reach hospital in almost no time. So I basically get ready in a jet speed. This cleansing bar has been my best friend because this never dries out my skin.

Effects

The avene cleansing bar makes my skin feel soft and nourished. I do not feel the need to apply a separate body lotion or moisturiser specially in this monsoon season. It does every a cleansing product is supposed to do. In addition, it also acts as a mild moisturised and never makes my skin feel dry. However, if you have very dry skin, make sure to try it out and then decide if you need to follow this up with a moisturiser or not.

Overall Verdict

I have to say this is one of the best cleansing bars I have tried so far. I love the fact how this is soap free and contains hydrating ingredients. It pretty much does everything it claims so hands down this is one of the best out there. Because it is monsoon season in India right now, I do not need a separate moisturiser when I use this. However, during winters, I am pretty sure I’d need at least a mild moisturiser. Still, it is going to better than any random soap bar because this does not strip my skin of its natural oils. I really like it.
