How to use BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette

1. Use a crease brush to create and outline the crease and blend it outwards.
2. For eyeshadow use a flat brush to apply eyeshadow to your entire lid.
3. With a soft blending brush, blend the outer edges of lid with the crease color.
4. Use a thin brush to highlight the brow bone and inner corners.

In Detail BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches and My experience

BhCosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette is the most colorful eyeshadow palette in my vanity. It comes in a printed purple cardboard palette with a magnetic closure and a big mirror on the inside. The palette is very light weight and unbreakable, travel friendly. Overall the packaging is very vibrant which makes me use this palette a lot.

The palette has 18 ₹10 coin sized baked eyeshadow. As the name suggests the palette is based on galaxy theme and all the shadows are named after names of stars.

Individual Shade description of the bh Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette

Sun: The Rose Gold shade with golden shimmer.
Jupiter: A punch pink shade with golden satin finish.
Prometheus: Medium burgundy shade with silver shimmer in it.
Aphrodite: Deep burgundy in satin finish.
Milky Way: It’s a lilac pink shade with shimmery finish.
Cosmic: It is very similar to Milky Way except that former has pink undertones and this has blue undertones. It also has satin finish.
Saturn: Very light peach in satin finish.
Venus: It’s a bright shimmery orange shade.
Meteor: It’s a very light sea green color with fine white shimmer particles.

Comet: It is very similar to Meteor except this has more green undertones.
Earth: It’s a shimmery sky blue shade.
Neptune: It’s a midnight blue with satin finish.
Mercury: It’s a light bronze shade with white shimmery undertones.
Mars: It’s a true copper shade with satin finish.
Asteroid: It’s the only shade I had difficulty explaining. It’s a mix of brown and blue giving it a grayish with pink and blue undertones. This is the most unique shade on the palette.
Electra: It is similar to earth except this is slightly lighter than the former with satin finish rather than shimmery.
Moon: It’s a shimmery gray shade.
Pluto: This is a deeper gray than moon with similar white shimmer.

Overall

As you can see, all the shades are well chosen for. They are bright and are in satin/shimmery finish. They are highly pigmented and blend really well. Since they are baked, I used it with a wet brush and it works even better. The shades of blue though stained my hand when I took swatches which I did not like.

The color payoff is amazing. The stay power is also good. I wore the heavy look for about 6 hours and there was no fading at all. I would still suggest wearing a good eyeshadow primer with it. Only con which I found in the palette is the fallout. I would suggest doing eyes first if you are using this palette. Otherwise, overall this palette is great for the price it comes. And moreover it is on sale round the year. So go get it ladies!!

2. A couple of shades are very similar
3. It might be too shimmery for a few, but should work if used along with some other matte shadows.
4. Availability issues in India
5. A few shades stained when used wet.

Will I buy Again?

There’s a sister palette launched recently, I would love to try that now. But yeah, this is a good palette so if you love vibrant hues on your eyes, go for it.

1. Use a good eyeshadow primer to get the best colour payoff from the shadows.
2. Do eyes first before the rest of the face makeup as there is fallout from the pigments.
