The Biotique Morning nectar lotion comes in a very simple white coloured tall plastic bottle. It has a green screw open top. The mouth of the bottle has a stopper with a small hole for controlled flow of the product. The outer carton box contains all the information there is about the product. Therefore the packaging is quite nice and easy to use.

The lotion is white in colour. It has a rather thin consistency. Not exactly runny, but thinner than most lotions available in the market. The texture is very smooth and creamy.

How I Use it

I usually apply the lotion every morning after shower. I apply it all over my body, sometimes even on my face. Because it has some really nice natural ingredients, this is great as a face moisturiser as well. I don’t need a lot of it because the texture of the lotion is such that it is very easy to spread on the skin. Also, this doesn’t take too long to get absorbed.

Effects

This lotion never makes my skin feel oily or sticky. It makes my skin feel moisturised and plump. I am usually in an air conditioned environment for work, and haven’t noticed my skin getting dry since I have been using this. It has this really nice subtle lingering fragrance. However that lasts for only a few minutes.

Now Biotique claims that this lotion’s moisturisation effect will somehow give us fairer complexion. I am sorry, I beg to differ here. I have used up 2 bottles of this lotion. However, never noticed my complexion getting fair or anything while using it. It does moisturise my skin well making it look helthier. But never changed my skin tone.

Overall Verdict

Overall I feel this is a very good lotion for dry as well as normal to dry skin beauties. However, I am not too sure if beauties with oily skin type would love it. But I feel oily skin beauties may give this a try if they are exposed to cold or air conditioned drying environment for long. I do love the fact that this has sun protection as well.

If you notice the ingredients list, the last ingredient listed is “lotion q.s.”. Q.S. stands for sufficient quantity. Well that ladies and gentlemen is my only complaint with this product. I want to know exactly what I am putting on my skin. I want to know what constitutes that lotion. So I am satisfied with the ingredients list. I like that it has lots of natural ingredients, but I not happy with the fact that they have hidden the rest of the ingredients behind “lotion qs”
