In Detail Chambor Silver Shadow Compact Powder Review, Shades, Swatches and My Experience

Chambor silver shadow compact comes in a navy blue triangular pan case. The compact comes with its own mirror and a powder puff which is good for touch ups. The compact doesn’t hav a separate compartment for its powder puff which I don’t really like. I find it a little unhygienic to use the powder puff on the face and then keep the same puff on the product itself. It has a push up button to open the product so when you press that button, the compact top opens. Upon pressing the top cover down, the compact shuts tightly with a click. Hence there are no chances of it making a mess in my bag. One can easily carry this compact regularly for touch ups.

The puff provided with this compact is decent when it comes to performance. Now the triangular packaging of the chambor silver shadow is unique in shape. It’s not our usual boring round or square compact. It does not look very luxurious though. Chambor silver shadow compact comes in four different shades as mentioned above. So one can easily find the appropriate match.

Now I have been using shade RR3 Sable which is a perfect match for my skin tone (MAC NC42). The texture of the chambor silver shadow compact is extremely smooth and satiny. It glides on the face like a dream. It doesn’t feels heavy or cakey after application. It is very blendable and works amazing as a finishing powder for makeup.

Now the best part I found about this compact is that it comes with its own refill. This is exactly the same quantity as much of it is in the original pan. We get double the amount of product for the price that is 16gms +16gms =32 gms of product. So when our compact powder gets over we can remove the old pan and replace it with a new pan. (yay!) .

Now I like to use this compact as a setting powder after I have applied my foundation. After applying this compact I don’t get that heavy feeling on my face. It’s quite light weight. This compact doesn’t makes me look cakey ever. It’s just brightens up my entire face when I use this compact. I have tried loads of compact from different brands be it a Mac, Estée Lauder, lakme, maybelline, loreal, colorbar etc etc . But by far this is the best and most affordable compact that I have ever come across. It provides sheer to medium coverage when used alone.

Coming on to the staying power this compact stays on my combination to oily skin for got good 5-6 hours after that I need a bit of touch up and I am good to go. Overall I am highly impressed with this compact.
