While this lip gloss by Colorbar may have been launched some time ago, I only picked it up specifically for summers when one does not feel like having too heavy a lipstick (or any other form of makeup) on. I settled for the shade called ‘Brown Sheen’ – a neutral shade that was easy on the eyes and could be worn with every colour or on its own.

In Detail Colorbar Sheer Glass Lipgloss Brown Sheen Review, LOTD and My Experience

Colorbar Brown Sheen is a coral-brown colour that looks quite muddy in the swatch but much, much better on the lips. I think this is a great everyday wear shade for medium skin. With a light and comfortable texture which is super hydrating, these glosses are everything a girl with dry lips needs. The lipgloss has a unique applicator, a flat sponge applicator instead of a doe-foot one which helps in applying the product evenly though you might need to dip it a couple of times to get the required amount. Colorbar Sheer Lipgloss Brown provides medium coverage which should cover minor lip pigmentation well and even it out.

The product does stain cups or glasses or spoons if you are eating, but even then it doesn’t wear off completely for nearly 3 hours. The staying power could’ve been better but then it is a lipgloss and not a liquid lipstick which can be expected to stay put for hours on an end.

How I Use it

I usually apply a single coat on my regular brown lipsticks for perfect fuller look.

Effects

This is more on the sheerer side, however you can build the colour. The shade is very much visible during the very first hour but later on, the colour fades away but the effect and glossiness stays on.

Colorbar Sheer Glass Lipgloss is definitely moisturizing and gives lips a fuller looking illusion. without any glitter/ shimmer particles. The texture is smooth and the applicator helps give a smooth, non-streaky finish on the lips. It may not be sticky as such, but like all glosses, it does have strong affinity for hair-strands falling on the face.
