In Detail ColourPop Sonya Esman Gemini by Night Pressed Powder Shadow Palette Review, Swatches and My Experience

Let’s talk about the packaging first. I mean, black and white, colourpop you got everything right. Its a simple yet super elegant packaging. Its a cardboard box palette with a magnetic closure. This palette has 4 pressed powder eyeshadows. All these are new shades and are currently not a part of their permanent line. However you never know, colourpop often puts their special edition products among the permanent collection. Really admire the packaging overall.

The theme of the palette is warm neutrals. There is a warm creamy light peachy brown, a shimmery satin light peachy shade, a warm deep brown matte shade and finally a super frosty or metallic rosy copper shade. This palette is basically beautiful in every possible aspect. Let’s talk about all the 4 shades individually below.

Individual Shades Description of ColourPop Gemini By Night Palette

Golden Gate Bridge – Colourpop describes it as “A matte warm n*de” shade. To me this is a creamy as well as slightly peachy n*de. Its incredibly smooth and finely milled. It has amazing pigmentation and applies well with a brush as well as finger tips. This shade is a beautiful transition shade if you’re doing some neutral warm eye makeup.

The Hidden Hills – Colourpop says this is a “Satin warm taupe”. It is a beautiful satin (slight shimmery) light creamy peach taupe shade. It looks beautiful in person and has a pretty good colour pay off. This has absolutely no fall outs and the texture is super smooth.

Manhattan Coffee Run – Colourpop describes this shade as “a matte mid tone brown”. Its a gorgeous chocolate brown matte shade which is super pigmented. It blends out quite nicely and is a wonderful shade for crease. This kind of a shade is a total must have in every makeup lover’s collection.

The Moscow Sunrise – Colourpop says this is “A metallic rosy copper” and this is pretty much an exact description of this shade. I have to add that this is so pigmented like out of this world. Still has absolutely nil fall outs. Amazing colour pay off and blends wonderfully.

Wearability, Staying Power

All these shades wear amazingly and do not crease easily. The formula is so amazing that it actually beats some of the most loved high end shadows. The staying power of these shadows is around 7 hours without fading even a bit. Till 9 hours you can totally pull them off and no one can tell. I am amazed at such wonderful formula priced so humbly.

Overall Verdict

These shadows are some of the best quality as well as value shadows out there. If you can get colourpop, you should totally check them out. I highly recommend colourpop’s pressed powder formula of eye shadows. They are pretty amazing and really inexpensive. This palette Gemini By Night is for warm neutral makeup. You can always add some pop of metal with the rosy copper shade in it. I absolutely love this palette and will continue to use it.

1. Use a good eye base primer to get the most flawless finish.
2. Metallic shadows are best applied with finger tips and then you can blend them with a brush.
3. Make sure to pick up a little bit of product at first and build up if needed because the last 2 shades in the palette are super pigmented.
4. To take off your eye makeup, always use a good eye makeup remover with which you do not have to tug on the skin around your eyes.
