In Detail ColourPop Sonya Esman Here Comes the Sun Super Shock Cheek Palette Review, Swatches and My Experience
The packaging of the duo is pretty simple yet spectacular. The pans are placed symmetrically in a sturdy cardboard box. The theme of this collection’s packaging is black & white. Hence, the palette is white from the outside but black on the inside. “Colourpop” is watermark printed all over the packaging. Overall really like the packaging. The only downside being, I wish they had mentioned a detailed ingredients list on the palette itself. However you can find the same on their website.
The palette consists of a blush as well as a highlighter. Let’s talk about both of them individually below.
ColourPop Matryoshka Blush
It is a warm toned coral peach blush that has the perfect colour pay off for a blush. The formula is super finely milled. Texture is smooth and it applies like silk on the skin. There is absolutely no chalkiness or fall outs. I absolutely love the shade as well as the formula of this blush. It has a staying power of 6 to 7 hours on an average without touch ups. However if you do have oily skin, this may fade off a little sooner than that. Again, this never goes patchy or weird on me.
ColourPop Summer Bonfire Highlighter
When I hear the name “Summer Bonfire”, I immediately get a feeling that this is going to be a very warm toned summery lit up highlighter. However, this highlighter is a lovely satiny champagne shade. Not super duper glowy, but sort of illuminating. It gives a satiny glowy effect on the skin. This is amazing for ladies who love to wear highlights on an everyday basis. Because this is not blinding to the Gods. But yet, makes a statement on its own.
So there is a total of 16 g of product in the palette. Each product weighs 8 g. This means that we are paying $1 per gram of product in the palette. This is not super inexpensive but yet not highly priced either. Looking at the quality of the product, I feel the price is in fact justified.
Overall I feel the ColourPop’s Here Comes the Sun Face Palette is amazing. This will work great for beauties with medium to light skin tones. The blush is absolutely fantastic in terms of formula, pigmentation as well as wearability. The highlighter is not super blinding but gives a gorgeous satiny everyday glow. The palette totally deserves good marks from my perspective.

CONs of ColourPop Sonya Esman Here Comes the Sun Super Shock Cheek Palette
1. The only con is, colourpop isn’t readily available outside USA.
1. Always prep your skin and prefect your base makeup first. Then apply blush on the apples of your cheek with a light hand. Then, if you feel like you need more colour, you can do a 2nd layer. This product layers up very nicely and blends great.
2. The highlighter in this palette is a great option for ladies who like glowing cheeks everyday but not on your face glow. This gives a lovely natural even sheen on the face that looks really pretty.
3. Set your makeup with a good quality makeup setting spray to make it last super long.
