Dove Oxygen Moisture Conditioner Review

A few days ago I did a review on the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo and as promised here I am with the conditioner review. I want to mention right at the beginning how Dove had never worked for me in the past when it comes to hair care and somehow I had stopped purchasing any shampoo and conditioner from Dove because everything just seemed to dry out my hair.

Then I spotted this range which was raved about a lot of people and I gave it a shot. The shampoo was decent, did not give me any excess hair fall. It did not dry out my hair as much as the other dove shampoos.

In Detail Dove Oxygen Moisture Conditioner Review and My Experience

The conditioner comes in a easy squeeze bottle which is basically opaque with a flip open cap at the bottom. The packaging goes exactly with its shampoo. The flip cap is quite sturdy so not a problem if you want to travel with it. Overall I really like the simple yet elegant packaging of the conditioner.

It has a typical Dove like scent. I do not really mind the smell as it does not stay for more than a couple of hours after wash. The consistency of the conditioner is very creamy and when I apply it on my hair, it kind of applies nicely and doesn’t slip off.

How I Use it

I condition my hair everytime I wash it. My hair tends to get dry and in order to combat that dryness, a conditioner is an absolute must have in my hair care routine. So after I am done rinsing out the shampoo completely from my hair, I take a double coin sized amount ( I have waist length hair) and apply it on the lengths of my hair avoiding the roots. I slather it properly specially on the ends of my hair as they are most prone for drying out. I keep it on for may be 2-5 minutes approximately.

On washing out the conditioner from my hair, I find that my hair look healthy. This just hits the spot where it takes away the dryness without weighing down my hair. I love the moisturisation it imparts to my hair. It definitely helps reducing the tangles after wash and at the same time give a slight shine. Made my hair feel soft and silky to touch.

In a nutshell, let me just tell you that I really like this conditioner because it moisturises my hair so well without weighing it down and makes it look super healthy. At this price, I cannot ask for more. Although I use the Oxygen moisture shampoo only once a week, I use this conditioner everytime I wash my hair.

MBF Advices

1. No matter what shampoo you use, always condition your hair.
2. Avoid applying conditioner on the roots of your hair as the natural oils from the scalp will take care of the moisturisation there.
3. Try using cold water while rinsing out the conditioner from your hair, it will make them more shiny.
4. Try not combing wet hair as it leads to increased hair fall.

Will I Repurchase it?

I guess I wouldn’t mind repurchasing the Dove Oxygen Moisture conditioner for the simple fact that it nourished my hair well and did everything what a decent hair conditioner is expected to do. So I am pretty satisfied with it.
