Faces Lip Contour Pencil Blush On Review, Swatches: Hi everyone! As you may recall, last month, I bought four lip liners from Faces, out of which I have already reviewed two – Tangy Pop & Plump Kiss.

Today I shall be reviewing the third shade namely, Blush On. This is a nude lip liner that can be worn underneath any lipstick. Thus, if you do not want to buy a lot of lip liners, get one such shade and you’re done. As for this particular pencil, read on to know if it is worth a shot.

How to Use Faces Lip Contour Pencil Blush On

1. Prep your lips by applying foundation, concealer or a lip primer.
2. If you have very dry lips, apply a balm first.
3. With the help of the pencil, draw an x-shape to mark your cupid’s bow.
4. Gradually, draw a line over the natural shape of your lips.
5. You can also fill your lips fully with this pencil.

In Detail Faces Lip Contour Pencil Blush On Review, Swatches and My Experience

Packaging: This one comes in a color-coded, wooden pencil with a transparent plastic cap. Hence, it is easy to spot the exact shade if you have multiple. The pencil is sharpenable making it hygienic. The shade name, expiry date and other details are written on the pencil in silver imprints.

Complexion: This colour is suitable for fair to medium complexions. It is likely to wash out dusky beauties.

Texture: On first application, the pencil is a little rough on the lips. But after the tip wears down a little, it is smooth and creamy and glides on pretty easily.

Colour: It is a brownish nude shade (with a slight hint of mauve) that can be worn daily. It is definitely one of my MLBB shades and since I own a lot of nude lipsticks, I wear this often. This one can also be worn alone as a lip stain as it is not too drying like the others from this range. However, a lip balm is always recommended.

Another added advantage is that you can pair this shade with any lipstick. If you do not have a matching liner for any particular lipstick, you may use this shade and blend it together so there would be no fine lines. For all brown and purple based lipsticks (whether dark or light), this pairs perfectly. For pinks and reds, it slightly changes the colour of the lipstick. I paired it with Lakme Enrich Lip Crayon – 09 Cinnamon Brown and Colorbar Crème Touch Lipstick – Burnt Orange. You can check the swatches below.

Lasting power: Used as a lip colour, it lasts almost 4 hours, without any meals. If you eat or drink anything it will fade away completely, at once. When worn under a lipstick, it prevents any bleeding and increases the wear time by 3-4 hours.

2. Remember to keep a sharpener close by when travelling with this pencil
3. Apply a balm over the colour if you are using this to fill your lips fully.
4. Make sure that your lip pencils always have a sharp tip.
5. If you are new to lip pencils, be slow and do not go beyond your natural lip border.
6. Keep your mouth closed while drawing the borders. This prevents you from over-lining the corners of your lips.
