In Detail Faces Magneteyes Kajal Review, Swatches and My Experience
My essential eye makeup product is Kajal. Blame it on my Rajasthani roots; we are used to kajal since we are born. I almost end up buying Kajal every month. I have tried almost all of them and the rising price of kajal forces me to look for better and still in budget options.
I came across Faces Magneteyes Kajal almost 6 months back and since then it’s my favorite.
The kohl comes in a twist-up red plastic body which has small details encrypted on the body like batch number and expiry date. Its cap puts on perfectly and closes with a click. There is nothing much to say about the packaging as it is like any other twist-open kohl available in India market.
The pigmentation is super and better than original Maybelline Colossal Kajal. It is jet black and one swipe is enough to give the complete color. But I like applying two layers to fill any fine lines left. The texture is creamy and smooth. It glides on very easily and doesn’t break if little pressure is applied. Although I will suggest twist-opening only required amount and not applying too much pressure. I have not faced any issues during its application.
It doesn’t dry out quickly after application and any rubbing can smudge it. I use this property, to create smoky eyes look which stays on longer compared to creating it just with eye shadows. Normally dries within 4-5 minutes for single layer, but for multiple layering it might take some time. I won’t say that after drying it is completely smudge proof, as it does smudge a little if rubber but otherwise it stays intact.
After it is dry, this kohl is completely waterproof and won’t get out easily. If you have watery eyes, it might not be completely smudge proof. I guess this is true with every kohl available in market. It doesn’t fade after long wearing hours but it does smudge a little. I guess I like this kajal cause I like smudged eyes more. The staying power is about 6+ hours which I feel is decent.
I have tried layering up the kajal on my lower lash line. I feel it causes little discomfort to eyes once it dries. Maybe because of the creamy texture or cause it sticks to the lower lashes. But smudging a little and then reapplying does work. I am quite satisfied with this one.
