Hi my beautiful friends, how are you all doing?
If you follow me, you will know I am obsessed with my hair all the time. Because I am blessed with naturally wavy hair type, it tends to go wild if I don’t take care of it. We have winter season in India at present which of course is not a very nice time for my normal to dry hair type. I try using products which are less drying and more nourishing. I said no to sulphates in my hair products a long time back and as far as possible I try using more or less natural products.
As you have seen in my Forest Essentials Haul Post, I got this a while back. I started using it and I loved it.

My Experience:
As soon as I saw this product and read the name, Honey and Vanilla, I had to get this. Honey and Vanilla are like twin sisters to me that I love so much! Honey has amazing health benefits! I love using honey on my skin as well as hair.
This cleanser or shampoo looks exactly like honey. It has a consistency like thin honey with shampoo like creaminess. It smells exactly like honey mixed with vanilla. You smell this, and girl you’re gonna be lost in the smell!! Its lovely.
The amount of products that I need per usage is a little more than what you would normally use. May be because it is made of lots of organic stuff! It foams up decently but don’t expect it to foam like sulphate shampoos.
You can feel the luxurious creamy foam as you massage the product into your hair and scalp. I find that it cleans my hair properly and does not leave my hair dried up. It actually gets rid of frizz and fly aways. What I am most happy about is how it makes the ends of my hair feel. They actually don’t look as much dry. It gets rid of tangles to a great extent
Now, as much as I love this shampoo, I won’t recommend you using it on oiled hair as it won’t wash off the oil. Beauties with oily hair will need to use a greater amount of product. This product indeed is priced higher than your average shampoos in the market and because you need a lot of product per usage, it tends to get over quickly.
Also, if you use this, I would suggest you to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week. This is kind of a mild shampoo, so to get rid of all the product build up, you will need a clarifying shampoo in your regimen.
Pros of Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey & Vanilla Hair Cleanser
1. Natural Ayurvedic Product free of harsh chemicals
2. Smells heavenly and the smell lasts for a couple of days
3. Makes hair clean, gets rid of frizz and tames down the fly aways
4. Gets rid of tangles
5. Not tested on animals
Cons of Forest Essentials Mashobra Honey & Vanilla Hair Cleanser
1. You need quite a lot of product per usage so it tends to get over quickly
2. A little bit on the expensive side
3. May not get rid of all the product build up if you use a lot of products in your hair and this is definitely not a great choice on oiled hair.
Will I repurchase this?
I don’t think so, It is a very decent natural hair cleanser but I would want to try out different products from their brand. May be I find something which I love even more 😀

Nice review. I have never personally tried Forest Essential products.. this shampoo does look interesting. However, since i oil my hair before every wash and you recommend not using it on oiled hair, il give this a pass.

I tend to oil my hair before every wash so it might not be suitable for me. But I am thinking of investing in FE products 🙂
