Fresh Rose Face Mask Review: Hey guys, So today I am going to talk about another product from this USA based brand called fresh. Previously I reviewed their Rose tinted lip balm which I enjoy using. But this time, I am covering a skin care product as fresh is essentially a skin care brand.
I used up a full size of this product i.e. 100 mL when I was pregnant. But the new mom that time could never find time to review this. So now, when I got a smaller size of this product again,
I thought I need to share about a good product like this with everyone. Please keep on reading to know more about this product and my experience with it.

In Detail Fresh Rose Face Mask Review and My Experience
The Fresh rose face mask comes in a standard white opaque tub packaging with a screw top and a spill proof lid inside. This tub comes housed inside a paper box. The packaging has all the details, the bottom mentions the complete ingredients list.
Although tub packaging isn’t the best hygiene wise, but it is the most common packaging specially for face masks. I’d say it is travel friendly because once you close the top properly, there are no chances of product spilling.
It looks caramel brown in colour. It smells heavenly. It is a mixed rose + cucumber fragrance according to me. Rose more prominent and cucumber less obvious to the nose. Smells really fresh. But if you’ve kept the product unused for quite sometime, the fragrance tends to lose its freshness a little bit. Has a nice creamy gel like consistency. The texture is smooth with dried rose petals spread within.
How I Use it
I have combination skin. But around winters specially, it becomes drier. My younger baby was born in May, but for some reason post partum my skin had become extremely dry and sensitive. May be it was my medicines or may be these episodes which I get sometimes when my skin becomes quite dry and sensitive.
Eitherways, I needed something which was natural and won’t have any effects on my b-milk. So after a little online research I ordered this mask. I finished that 100 mL pack in like 2-3 months. This mini sized tub lasted for 3 uses.
I used this mask twice or thrice a week usually. I would use it everyday but this is so expensive! I didn’t want it to get over very fast. Sometimes, I used to apply it very lightly and use it as an overnight mask. Otherwise generally, I apply a moderate layer all over my face and neck. Usually let it sit for approximately 15-30 minutes and then wash it off with normal temperature water. This comes off easily and does not mess up the sink.
Effects
When I apply this, the first thing I notice is how soothing it feels on my skin. It does not literally dry up once you let it sit on the skin. It just gets very slightly thick and more tacky. I could wash it off in like 10-15 minutes as the brand advises. However I like it keep it on for longer because it feels very good on the skin.
After washing it off, my face looks brighter and feels super soft to touch. My skin looks like its thirst has been quenched and therefore it looks really healthy. So this mask is very hydrating as well as calming for the skin. It just never caused any ill effects even when my skin was being very sensitive. The glow or the brightness it imparts to the skin is surely worth noticing because it appears more natural.
Just yesterday I used bentonite clay mask on my face and after washing that off completely, I used this fresh rose face mask. My skin looks like I just had a facial!
On the downside, these hydrating effects of the mask only last for like a day at max. The effects would vanish more quickly if you use a surfactant based face cleanser on the same day. For such a big hole on my pocket, I expected the results to have lasted for a longer period of time.
I have combination skin, and I really like this mask. Hydrating masks are not just meant for dry skin types. These masks can be used by all skin types depending on what your skin requires. It is a false belief that oily skin doesn’t require hydration.
Final verdict
I think this mask is a great way to deal with sensitive and dry skin issues. If you do not have dry skin, you don’t necessarily need this mask. But you can try it because its effects are really noticeable right after you wash it off. Again, this is very costly, so unless you really want a hydrating mask and ready to splurge (and you love roses a lot), you don’t really need to get this. There are less expensive options available in drugstore as well.
I have to give a shoutout to fresh because all there products are made with mostly natural ingredients. This mask is pregnancy safe and safe to use while you’re lactating or b-feeing.

MBF Rating
4.5/5 (I know its costly and does not give long lasting results but how this makes my skin feel naturally soft, nourished and makes it look so glowy, I need to give this a good rating. This is worth if you’re in a mood to splurge or planning a luxurious pamper session.)
