In Detail Garnier Ultra Blends Mythic Olive Deep Nourishing Shampoo Review, Swatches and My Experience
The Ultra Blends Olive Shampoo comes in a really pretty green coloured translucent bottle. I honestly love the colour green and hence, naturally I love the packaging of this product. All details including the complete ingredient list is mentioned on the back labels. It has a golden coloured flip open top which makes it easy to pour the shampoo in moderation as per need. Also, the flip shuts tight with a click so its okay to travel with. But please make sure to keep all liquids packed inside a leak proof bag just in case.
When poured on my hand, it looks basically colourless. It has a very sweet smell to it. Doesn’t really smell like olives or olive oil, but still the smell is quite soothing. The consistency of the shampoo is semi gel like which is more on the thin side.
How I Use it
I apply this shampoo into my wet hair. To make it lather well, I put some amount of water while massaging the shampoo in my hair. It produces rich lather even if my hair is oiled. I love to gently massage the roots of my hair with the lather of the shampoo to make sure I clean my scalp nicely. After working it in for a couple of minutes, I wash it off with normal temperature water. I do not like to keep any shampoo in my hair for more than 5 minutes at max because I feel like shampoos can dry out the hair when used excessively.
Effects (Without Conditioner as well as with Conditioner)
After washing off the shampoo my hair feels squeaky clean. It did not over dry my hair even when I used it on un-oiled hair. In fact, when used on oiled hair, it removes all the oils perfectly as well. Hence oiled or un-oiled, this shampoo works both the ways for me. It leaves my hair clean and refreshed and gets rid of all the dirt and product build up.
Although this is a clear (transparent) shampoo, it was a surprise that it didn’t cause dryness in my hair. Because generally clear shampoos are known to be drying. But this one is different. It is clear, cleans the hair well and still does not make the hair feel very dry.
I have been using this shampoo for a month now and I am almost more than half way through it. I will continue using this till I finish it off (because I purchased more shampoos that I want to try out 😛 ). Jokes aside, I think this is a really decent shampoo at a humble price which I wouldn’t mind repurchasing.
Those of you who know me already know that I usually use sulphate free shampoos. But, although this is not a sulphate free shampoo, I still used it because it said it has olive oil in it and that it is a nourishing shampoo. So I really wanted to try it out and well I wasn’t disappointed. Also, this shampoo is free of parabens.
I feel this shampoo is perfect for all hair types. I have tried it every way possible as well as travelled with it. In fact this is the shampoo I used to take off all the Holi colours from my hair 😀 (HappY Holi!!!). So if you are looking for a nice shampoo which cleanses the hair well without over drying it, you can give this a try. Always remember to purchase the smaller size variant and try out the product before getting the bigger sizes because some products may suit some people and may not suit other people. Also, it you have tried it, please don’t forget to share your experience with us in the comments below.
PS. I know Garnier sent the Ultra Blends shampoos to almost every blogger/vlogger out there. But I can assure you, I bought this with my own money and opinions and reviews on MBF Blog are always 100% honest and unbiased. Honest reviews and bias free content is our motto.

CONs of Garnier Ultra Blends Mythic Olive Shampoo
1. Has sulphates in it.
2. Did not really nourish my hair. I mean it definitely did not cause any dryness in my hair, but it did not provide any additional moisture either. Hence, it did no harm as well as no different on a long term basis.
1. For ladies with dry hair or frizzy hair, try to use a conditioner on the hair lengths every time you use a shampoo.
2. Never leave a shampoo in your hair for over 5 minutes as it can cause dryness in the hair.
3. Try adding some additional water in your hair while shampooing, it creates more lather and makes you use less shampoo.
We do have it in the USA, I live in Oregon and have recently purchased this from Walmart. So far I have been liking this shampoo and conditioner.
Can u suggest me any good sulphate free shampoo which is good for reducing hairfall?
