In Detail Happy Naturals Argan Oil Intense Repair Shampoo Review, Swatches and My Experience

The shampoo comes in a cool aqua blue colour plastic bottle that has a flip open top. The bottle has all the details about the product printed at the back. I love how basic yet unique the packaging looks.

The product is only available in a 300 mL bottle and that is the sad part. I mean, I wouldn’t really carry a 300 mL bottle of shampoo if I am making a short trip somewhere. Hopefully, they come out with travel friendly sizes of this product.

The happy naturals argan shampoo is semi translucent white in colour. It smells really nice. It has this really lovely warm musky amberish nutty smell, its completely unique and amazing at the same time. I absolutely love using this because of the way it smells. The consistency of the shampoo is moderate. It lathers up rather easily into a creamy foam.

How I Use it

Before I started using my biotique green apple shampoo, I used to use this shampoo on a regular basis. Today, I officially finished it up. I take a big coin sized amount and work it through my wet hair. Massaging into my scalp I make sure I cover all areas on my head equally. Then I wash it off with normal temperature water.

Effects

The shampoo is able to cleanse my hair really well. It takes off all the dirt and gunk from my hair and leaves them clean. This shampoo gives me really soft and clean hair. However my only complain is the fact that it does dry out my hair slightly. I mean this is one of those shampoos where I have to use a conditioner afterwards. Therefore, I have been using its matching conditioner i.e. argan intense repair mask with this.

Honestly, I cannot skip using a conditioner with this shampoo because who likes dry hair? No-one! Also, this shampoo effectively cleanses oiled hair. However, the quantity you’d need depends on how much of which oil you’re using.

If you haven’t noticed till now, let me draw your attention towards the fact that this shampoo is paraben free. Although it is SLS free, it is not exactly a sulphate free shampoo because it contains ammonium lauryl sulphate. So well, there is sulphate in another form here. That’s why I feel this has that drying nature.

Its an irony how an “intense repair” shampoo contains a drying ingredient like that.

Overall Verdict

I like the shampoo because it cleanses my hair well. However it is a bit drying when used on its own all alone. You have to use a conditioner afterwards or the hair might feel slightly dry.

To be honest, I did not see any “repairing” effect of this shampoo on my hair. It works like a nice cleansing shampoo would do but I failed to notice any out of the box effects as such.
