Herbal Essences Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner Review: Hey guys, how is everyone doing? So last time I tried an Herbal Essences duo, it was the Herbal Essences Rosemary & Herbs Shampoo and Conditioner. I really liked it and hence, this time I got their Strawberry Shampoo and Conditioner. Let’s read further, I will tell you all about my experience with it.

How to Use Herbal Essences Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner

• Shampoo– Apply shampoo generously to wet hair, massage into a creamy lather and then rinse. Follow with Herbal Essences’ Conditioner
• Conditioner– Apply conditioner generously to wet hair from root to tip and rinse.

In Detail Herbal Essences Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner Review and My Experience

The herbal essences strawberry shampoo and conditioner come in classic HE packaging. The shampoo comes in a clear plastic bottle and the conditioner comes in an opaque deep pink coloured bottle.

All the information is of course printed on the labels. Both the shampoo as well as the conditioner come in a 400 mL bottle. They do not have them in any other sizes as of now. And I think its pretty much standard for Herbal essences. I have never really seen HE products in different sizes anyway.

The shampoo (as you will see in the photos) is a clear shampoo. Slightly runny in consistency with a smooth texture. The conditioner on the other hand is white in colour, with a moderate consistency and again very smooth in texture.

How I Use them

So I have used the duo together as well as separately. The shampoo I have used on oiled as well as un oiled hair.

I just need like a generous coin sized amount for my hair when my hair is not oiled. May be double that size when I use it on my oiled hair.

It lathers up quite nicely (It is a sulphate containing shampoo). This cleans the hair really well. However this might be a little drying if used alone. So always remember to use it along with a conditioner. Without it, the shampoo definitely isn’t gentle enough specially for normal to dry or dry hair type.

The conditioner is decent. I mean it conditions the hair, softens it and smells nice and slightly fruity. However, there is nothing out of the box about this conditioner. Its nice but not something exclusive. I do leave the conditioner on my hair for like 5-10 minutes, and it works just fine. Remember, I have normal to dry hair. If you have dry hair type, this might not suffice and you may need a hydrating leave on conditioner afterwards.

Now a very important thing that I want to mention here is about hair fall. I know a lot of clear shampoos have a tendency to cause hair fall and that is the reason why a lot of use are reluctant to use it.

However, with this, I did not notice any additional hair fall. It doesn’t do anything to reduce my hair fall. But at the same time, this does not aggravate it either (which is a relief to me because it makes it to the list of a hand full of clear shampoos that do not cause increased hair fall)

Overall Verdict

I think is a decent, affordable shampoo and conditioner duo. Nothing extra or out of the ordinary, but yet quite nice. Great for regular use. I feel like it is always good to use a clear shampoo (suphated one) every once in a while to clean all the build up in the hair and let the scalp breathe.

The advantage with this one like I mentioned earlier is the fact that it does not cause any increased hair fall for me. Just remember to always pair up this shampoo with a decent conditioner. The strawberry conditioner is nice, but even any other decent conditioner would suffice I feel if you don’t have dry hair type.

2. The shampoo cleans hair and scalp effectively without being extremely harsh.
3. The conditioner is nice and decent.
4. They have a nice fruity smell that lingers on for a while and feels lovely.
5. Doesn’t cause any extra hair fall.

CONs of Herbal Essences Strawberry Shampoo & Conditioner

1. They perform decently, I don’t think I have a con to enlist. However I would say they cost a little too much here in India as compared to the cost of same product back in USA or UK.

Moreover, Like always I would suggest to check out at least 3-4 retailers’ websites to check out for best offers and discount before you spend your money online.
