Ola! my beautiful friends,

In Detail Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub Review and My Experience

Most of my friends reading this must be knowing that I have combination skin which tends to get more oily on the T-zone. Because of my breakouts, I started using the neem face pack and with that I decided to start using this facial scrub. It comes in a similar packaging as the face pack. It is pretty travel safe.

The product smells very herbal with very noticeable Neem (azadirecta) smell. It is white in colour and has a cream consistency but the product holds together like a gel. It’s got these little green particles and a few of orange ones which I am guessing are apricot. I actually like the green and some orange scrub particles in a gel-cream white base. Also, the particles in the scrub are a lot smaller than the ones in the face pack.

How I use it

I take approximately a large pea sized amount of the scrub and apply it on wet face. I like to take my time scrubbing gently all over avoiding the eye area. It does not foam and maintains its creamy texture. Although the particles in this one are smaller than the face pack, I find them a teeny bit sharper. Not scratchy, but not as soft as the ones in face pack. After massaging it on for like 2 to 4 minutes, I wash it off with normal temperature water.

Afterwards I use my regular moisturiser.

Effects

Because the scrub does not have any foaming agents, it does not dry out my skin. My skin feels clean and soft everytime I use it. It takes out all the dirt and impurities from the skin. I have to say it is not going to completely wipe out all the zits but it does significantly reduces them and as I have been using it for a while (along with the face mask), it has reduced further breakouts.

Overall, this again is a pretty amazing budget friendly product. I won’t say that this scrub gives dramatic results but yes, many high ended brands fail to deliver the results but this one does. However my concerns are that it has a lot of parabens and contains alcohol. They have mentioned the active ingredients and a few of others but have not provided a complete ingredient list which is a major drawback according to me.

CONs of Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub

1. The herbal smell might be a problem for some.
2. Not going to get rid of blackheads/zits completely.
3. Contains parabens and alcohol.
4. Complete ingredient list not mentioned.

MBF Advices

1. The scrub particles are slightly harsh so beauties with sensitive skin must try this on a small area of the skin and then only use it on entire face accordingly.
2. Though it does not dry out the face completely, I would advice to apply a moisturiser after using it.
3. Please be very very gentle on the skin while using it, never be harsh while scrubbing the facial skin.

  2. I have used it in the past, but i have to say it works only on minor breakouts. For severe acne this won’t be of much help I feel.
