India Online Fashion Week Update – The Jury, Auditions and Selected Winners

Since ours is a makeup and fashion blog, we will be dealing across category of Makeup artists, Hair Stylists and Designer auditions which was held on the 2nd July, 2014.For those of you who are still not oriented to the concept, Jabong.com came up with this awesome new concept where the Fashion week is held entirely online. You can be as much a part of it as any live audience in a fashion week. The Fashion week is scheduled for 25th to 30th of July, 2014 where the actual show commences.

Here are the details of the auditions which you would love to know about. There were some of the very sophisticated jury members. According to Praveen Sinha, Founder and Managing Director, Jabong.com says, “We are proud to announce the well celebrated jury panel that we have brought together for India Online Fashion Week and are confident that under their guidance the participants will receive the best possible mentoring. We have got on-board some of the most distinguished names of the fashion industry who will convert this next-gen talent into gold. The whole process of pooling in adept candidates from different verticals was challenging and our entire team went through an elaborate process to select the best lot for the IOFW event. Our only aim through such an initiative is to give the fashion industry its rightful heir who will take Indian fashion to a greater platform and create a niche for themselves on the runway”.

Commenting on the auditions, Rashmi Virmani, Show Director, IOFW said, “Good to receive so many credible entries for India Online Fashion Week. The creative invites were rolled on the internet and the response and quality were both seen in abundance at the first event of its kind. I am looking forward to work with the finalists and I am sure that it will be a classy event.”

The reputed jury has shortlisted 5 winners each under the hair, makeup and photographer category while 20 winners have been selected under the models category and 15 victors under the designers section. In addition, all the winners would receive a goody bag which will have merchandise from Revlon, Philips, and Ziveg. That’s not all, the winners will also get a potential opportunity to work with Jabong.com.

The Panel of Jury consisted of some of the eminent people of the beauty and fashion industry. They are Carol Gracias, Samantha Kochhar, Rod Anker, Akash Das amongst other prominent names. There are 20 models, 15 designers, 5 photographers, 5 make-up artists, 5 hair stylists chosen from thousands of entries.
