In Detail Innisfree Aronia Capsule Recipe Pack Review, Swatches and Our Experience

It comes in a brown tub packaging. The lid can be placed back after use. Its actually good because one can easily get at least 3 uses out of this tub. I try to finish off these capsule packs within a week. After opening them once, I make sure to store them in the fridge.

I don’t keep them outside once the seal pack is opened. Although its a tiny product, Innisfree managed to put all the details on the back layered labels, everything mentioned perfectly in english.

It has a slightly fruity yet quite nice smell to it. I can’t really pin point the smell but yes, it smells kind of fruity. It looks almost transparent. When you take it on your finger, you might notice an extremely light purple tint to it. This makes me believe that Aronia purple berries have been used. (Usually Aronia has purple as well as red berries. Purple berries are the ones known for their skin benefits).

This capsule recipe pack is in fact a sleeping pack. Which means we have to apply it and let it stay on through the nigh. Then wash off the next morning.

How I Use it

I wash my face and then apply this mask. I used it at night and went to sleep. Next morning washed it off with normal water. Because this has a gel like consistency, it took me a while to completely take it off. My mother in law (MIL) used it in the exact same way. I used it just once. My MIL used this 2 times. So total we got 3 uses out of this.

Effects

On me (combination skin) – Next morning after washing it off, I noticed that it made my skin feel very soft and smooth. My skin felt nourished with a natural healthy glow to it. However, my complain is how I felt through the night. It felt somewhat uncomfortable and sticky to be honest.

I had to sleep on my back because the moment I slept on a side, the product kind of stuck to my pillow case and it was quite an unpleasant sensation. Otherwise, I quite like the effects it has on my skin. Also, the effects on my skin lasted for like a day at max.

On my MIL (dry skin) – According to my MIL, it didn’t feel that uncomfortable on her skin during the night. Yes, she felt she has a layer of something happening on her face, but it didn’t feel super sticky like it did on me. After washing it off, her skin felt as well as looked very soft and moisturised.

She specially wanted me to mention that her skin felt really smooth to tough and that it gave her a noticeable glow. Basically, she liked it more than me. The effects on her skin were better visible and this mask basically suited her skin type better than mine. The effects lasted on her skin for like a day and a half. She said, the more frequently you wash your face, the quicker the effects wear off.

Overall Verdict

I feel this is a really nice mask, but with temporary results. The results are quite lovely, but I wish they were more long lasting. As you know by now, that it gives good results on both combination as well as dry skin types, but its effects are better seen and felt on dry skin type. Secondly, it does not feel as sticky and uncomfortable during the night on dry skin type.

I would recommend this mask for all skin types. However, if you have very oily skin, I am not sure if you will love it. For oily to combinaton skin spectrum, my suggestion is Innisfree Bija and Tea Tree Capsule pack. That one worked really great on my combination skin.

MBF Advises

  1. Keep it in the fridge and use this as a refreshing and nourishing pack in the evening. If you’re uncomfortable using such products through the night, just use them for 15-30 minutes. I am sure it would be a nice refreshing experience. Specially if you’re going out, it will make your skin look naturally luminous.
  2. Don’t keep it out in the open once the seal is broken. Keep it in the fridge till you use it the next time.
