Innisfree Bija & Tea Tree Capsule Recipe Pack Review: Most of us know about Tea tree and its benefits for oily, combination as well as acne prone skin. However, if you are not into Korean skin care, its possible that you might have not heard about “Bija Plant”. The Bija plant is native to Korea and it is very well known in that region for its beneficial effects on acne prone skin. I am pretty sure that is why Innisfree came up with this combination.

Innisfree Bija & Tea Tree Capsule Recipe Pack Review

My skin type is combination and I do get occasional breakouts. So I make sure to use products which can combat the extra oiliness on the skin, at the same time which don’t leave my skin feeling too dry.

For breakouts, my goto spot treatment is Mario Badescu Drying lotion and it is my absolute holy grail. But otherwise, in general I love using products which are meant for combination and breakout prone skin. Let us talk about this amazing sounding combination in a little capsule pack.

In Detail Innisfree Bija & Tea Tree Capsule Recipe Pack Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Bija Tea Tree capsule pack comes in a small tub. The tub is compact and the lid closes nicely. Labels on the back have all the information about the product clearly printed in english. Because these capsule packs last upto 3-4 times, you can always put the lid and store the tub somewhere safe for next use. This pack lasted me for 3 times. Now, I am pretty sure this is going in my repurchase list.

The product itself is light mint green in colour with a paste like consistency as well as a smooth texture. It has a very nice tea tree oil smell which I am quite fond of. However, I feel they could have actually made the tub a little smaller. Because the amount of product is way less than the size of the tub.

How I Use it

After washing my face, I apply a smooth thin layer of the pack all over my face and neck. I use my fingers to apply the pack, you can use a brush too. However this pack has a thick consistency. Hence, I feel more comfortable applying it with my fingers. I let it stay for like 15 minutes or a couple of minutes more.

In that time, it dries up almost completely. Then I wash it off with normal temperature water. Please remember that this is a clay based pack. So it may make the sink look messy when you wash it off. To avoid this, you can use the mask before shower.

Effects

After I wash it off, I can notice that my skin looks clearer as well as feels smoother. It cleanses my pores too I feel although I don’t see Innisfree making any such claims. The pack takes off all the extra oils and gunk from my skin without leaving it super dry.

The best part is, I could not feel my skin getting oily through the day. Therefore, it does control those extra oils too upto an extent. Because of its clarifying effect, skin appears brighter.

This mask definitely helps prevent breakouts. I used this 3 times, every alternate day. So for a week, my skin stayed breakout free. In addition, it did not get as oily as it normally does. This even helped control extra oils in my T-zone area.

Overall Verdict

I think I like the Innisfree Bija and tea tree capsule pack better than all the other Innisfree capsule packs that I have tried before. Obviously because this one is perfectly suited to my skin type. Hence, I would totally recommend this to everyone close to my skin type. Wonderful thing about this product is, its a kaolin and bentonite clay based pack with bija and tea tree oil – all this at a very affordable price.

Also, because the pack is very compact in size, you can actually carry this along. You just need to use it 15-20 minutes before shower. As soon as it dries, take a shower and enjoy mattified skin all day long.

The only downside is, the results aren’t super long lasting. On me, the results lasted for upto 2 days after which my skin was back to its usual self.

CONs of Innisfree Bija & Tea Tree Capsule Recipe Pack

  1. I live very close to select citywalk, so I got this the same day when I read your review. I used it that day at night and today used it again. But now it is over. So it only lasted me for 2 times use. But leaving that aside, I love you for introducing me to this mask. It works great on my oily to combination skin. I will surely go and get more of these. 🙂
