Innisfree Cherry Blossom Body Cleanser & Body Lotion Review: Hey guys, if you’re into anime, I know you love cherry blossom. I mean, this Japanese flower is irresistibly cute! This flower is also known as Sakura. In fact, I have used the cherry blossom range from The Body Shop and I loved the smell. That is the reason I picked this from Innisfree.

Now, you might wonder that the packaging looks different. It is because I got this during the holiday season when Innisfree had these fun packagings on most of its products. Let’s get into the details and my experience with this product.

How to Use Innisfree Cherry Blossom Body Cleanser & Body Lotion

Cleanser : Pour an appropriate amount onto bath sponge or bath towel and create lather to massage onto entire body. Rinse thoroughly with water afterwards.

Lotion: After shower and wiping off water, add an appropriate amount onto palms and softly smooth over entire body as you massage.

In Detail Innisfree Cherry Blossom Body Cleanser & Body Lotion Review and My Experience

The holiday packaging is omg ultra cute. I mean look at these crimson red bottles! I am guilty of purchasing stuff just for the packaging sometimes and this is an example. However, when I smelled this at the store, it smelled amazing.

Both the body wash as well as the cleanser come in the same crimson colour bottles with flip open tops. The regular packaging is rose-pink in colour I guess.

The only problem with this small holiday packaging is, these little bottles are very sturdy. So I have to put a lot of pressure while squeezing them trying to take some product out. Otherwise the looks of the packaging is very cute.

Innisfree My Body Cherry Blossom Body Wash Review

The cherry blossom body wash or body cleanser as they call it is transparent in colour. It has a slightly gel like consistency, not too thick or runny.

The best part is the way it smells. It smells like these amazing cherry blossom flowers.

Honestly, I am not a major floral fragrance fan girl. However, there are a couple of floral fragrances which I love like anything. No. 1 is rose, No. 2 is cherry blossom.

It lathers up really nicely, creates a rich foam when I use it with my loofah. It is able to clean the skin well. I love how my shower smells while I am using this.

However, the smell only lasts till you’re in the shower. As soon as you wash it off, the smell kind of wears off within minutes which is quite disappointing. I would have loved it even more had the smell remained for longer duration of time.

I have been following it up with its matching body lotion.

Innisfree My Body Cherry Blossom Body Lotion Review

The lotion comes in a similar crimson bottle. But the label here has a slightly different pattern.

It has a nice creamy consistency with a smooth even texture. But guess what, the lotion actually isn’t as amazing as the body cleanser for me. The reason is simple- it lacks that intensity of cherry blossom fragrance.

This body lotion smells kind of plain like a regular body lotion would with only the slightest hints of cherry blossom flowers. Although I cannot complain about the hydration it provides, I honestly wanted the cherry blossom smell in it.

It is a non sticky lotion which is able to moisturise my normal skin really well. I do not feel my skin getting dry at all. It does not feel oily or gross. In fact, sinks into the skin really quickly giving me a nice plum skin.

But like I mentioned above, I really wanted it to smell prominently like cherry blossom flowers – but it kind of disappointed me as far as the fragrance department is concerned.

Overall verdict

I like this duo. Its fun and works really well on my skin. What else can you look for in a body wash and lotion at this price. However, I just wish innisfree had put some more effort in making the lotion smell like cherry blossoms too. Otherwise I am quite happy with this duo and would recommend it to everyone who wants to try it out.
