Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub Hot Cocoa Peppermint Review: Hey guys, so who does not adore hot chocolate with some mint in it? I am sure a lot of you guys have tried it. I love chocolates, and hence when I saw Jeffree had a cocoa flavoured lip scrub, I had to get it.
I icing on the cake is, all his lip scrubs are edible. So even if a little bit goes in my mouth (or I lick it intentionally because its so yummy 😀 ), I do not need to worry. Let’s talk more about this particular lip scrub from Jeffree Star Cosmetics. Is it good? We shall see.

In Detail Jeffree Star Velour Lip Scrub Hot Cocoa Peppermint Review and My Experience
Jeffree is the king of jumbo size products. From his highlighters to his lip scrubs, everything comes in generous sizes. Hot cocoa peppermint lip scrub comes in a 1 oz. transparent plastic tub with a pink screw lid. Very thoughtful and convenient packaging for a sugar lip scrub I think.
It smells exactly like its name. It smells like this slightly spicy yet remarkably minty cocoa with an element of sweetness to it. You really have to smell this to properly appreciate how adorable it smells.
It has a texture like – refined sugar held together by something. I think this is a great texture for a scrub. No meaningless base ingredients, just what is needed.
How I Use it
I take a small amount of this lip scrub and gently massage it on my lips. Always making sure I am gentle and letting the scrub particles do their job. I take my time, like approx 3 to 4 minutes. Then either I wipe it off with a tissue paper, or I wash it off with normal water.
If I am going to use a lipstick, I wash it off with water. Otherwise I just wipe the remaining scrub particles and slather on a tinted lip balm.
The scrub works really nice. It is able to remove most of the dead cells from the lips. It smoothens out the lips so that they are lipstick ready. In fact, if you do not have very dry lips, you can actually skip using a lip balm because this scrub leaves the lips quite moisturised.
However, if you have very dry and chapped lips, don’t expect this to work wonders in one go. For severe dryness and flaking on the lips, I suggest regularly scrubbing the lips as well as using some deeply moisturising lip balm.
I have a collection of Jeffree’s lip balms in different flavours. I feel they all perform almost equally well. You just need to select the flavour of your choice. Or rather “flavours” because he has so many yummy ones in his collection.
If you have tried his lip balms, do not forget to comment below and tell me your favourite flavour. Also, if you have anything to add to what I have said in this review, you’re most welcome to comment below and share with everyone. 🙂
