I mean, I must be in serious love with this oil because I am declaring my love for it right in the first line of this review. They do not use any sort of chemicals in their products. Also, they take traditional Indian concoctions and bring them out as products. Therefore, we get to try out these amazing old age secret ingredients for our skin as well as hair. Now, let me come back to the topic and we will talk about this hair oil in review today.

In Detail Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment Oil Review, Swatches and My Experience

The packaging is really simple, yet thoughtful i’d say. Its a sturdy transparent bottle with a screw open top. On the mouth of the bottle, there is a special kind of dispenser. It has 2 holes in it, I guess it controls the amount of product flowing through it. However, I still wonder if its meant for something else as well. If you know, please comment below because I am quite curious about such kind of a unique dispenser.

Kama Ayurveda Bringadi Intensive Hair Treatment Oil Review Unique dispenser

The oil has a moderate consistency. It does not freeze even in winter season. It is basically a clear oil and is deep amber in colour. One thing you should is, it does not smell pleasant at all. It has a strong herbal smell to it which definitely is kind of repelling. However, because I have been using it for months now, I have become used to it. So my nose is pretty much conditioned by now. This is just a heads up if you have a sensitive nose.

How I Use it

I oil my hair at least once a week. Have been using this particular oil for months now. I usually concentrate and massage the oil near my roots and on scalp. Then, while working whatever oil is on my palms, I graze it down on the lengths. If I feel like my hair lengths need more, I apply more. I also like to concentrate this oil near the ends of my hair. Usually I require 2 coin sized amount of the hair oil per usage. I leave the oil in my hair overnight generally. However, if I am in a rush or something, I keep it in my hair for 2 to 3 hours at least. After that, I wash my hair with shampoo normally.

Effects

While applying the hair oil, you will notice that this is not at all sticky or greasy. It feels quite light actually. However you definitely cannot ignore the smell. The oil comes off easily with a regular shampoo and leaves no residue behind. After wash, my hair appear more manageable and tamed. The frizz is significantly reduced. During these cold winter months, my hair usually behaves extra dry and rough. However, since I have started using this oil, my hair does not look so dry. It actually looks healthier. There is an added natural shine to the hair that looks stunning. The best part is, these effects aren’t temporary. Even if I skip using this oil for a couple of weeks, my hair don’t go back to their super dry condition.

A unique effect of this hair oil is that it kind of darkens the hair. Usually my hair is deep brown-black. However, I have been noticing my hair looks a lot more darker since last few months. I can only attribute this effect to this oil.

Dandruff and Hair Fall?

Kama Ayurveda claims that this oil tackles dandruff and hair fall. I can vouch for hair fall because I literally experienced zero hair fall since I have used this. I have seen a lot of beauties complain about hair fall whenever they use a hair oil. However this particular hair oil causes absolutely no hair fall and in fact reduces hair fall when you use it continuously for a few months. For dandruff, I made my husband use it because he usually has dandruff problems. On him, I have seen dandruff going from 8 to 2 (on a scale of 10 to 0). Hence we can conclude that this hair oil stands absolutely true to its claims.

Overall verdict

Overall I feel this hair oil is pretty much becoming my holy grail hair oil. Although this is slightly costly, but the effects it shows on my hair make it totally worth every penny. In fact because of enhanced health of my hair, my hair has been growing better that ever before. I feel for overall better health of your hair, all you need to do is follow a good hair care routine. Natural and effective products like this hair oil surely help. In fact, I would recommend this hair oil to everyone because it pretty much deals with all major hair problems. PS. This hair oil is also available in a 100 mL variant. Hence, you can try the smaller size before and see how it works on your hair first. Then you can get the full size if you really like it. 🙂

  1. OMG I lover this oil so much. I have seen that somethings may not smell good but they work awesomely. This is just like that. The smell goes away completely after washing the hair so I can ignore this small con. A must have oil for everyone.

    • hey, I have been using this bottle for a while now and I can say this seriously works!. I picked it up in duty-free, just on a whim and didn’t expect much results to be honest. I have tried Bringa oil from the brand Himalaya and faced acute hair loss, tried it from Arya Vaidya Sala Kottakkal and still the same. I went to get specialized hair treatment and was shown pretty graphics and disgusting close-ups of my scalp which was clogged with oil. worst case was my hair loss has been going on for several years and you can clearly see my thinning scalp and I have been trying innovative partitions. I bought it for Rs.1350 and this is the best use of money. I can really see the dryness and frizziness reduce and scalp also does not look oily and hair loss after the shampoo is very very little compared to bunches before and i am seeing reduced hair loss when I comb too. hope this helps!

    • Hey Priyanka,
I use macadamia healing oil treatment as a serum on my hair after washing it. I use the Kama Bringadi oil for my regular hair oiling. I have seen results and they are quite impressive. This does promote hair growth but you have to give it time. Still better than any synthetic product. I totally recommend it.

    • Hey Apeksha,
If your hairfall is too much, I recommend looking into your diet. Are there enough folic acid, mutivitamins in it? Try to curb out unhealthy food and go towards healthy balanced diet. You can take doctor recommended multivitamin supplements too. Also, I’d suggest getting a sample size of this from Kama stores if you are really worried about hairfall after starting this. Personally, my husband, my MIL and I didn’t face any increased hairfall when we started this. We actually had good results.
