In Detail Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water Review, Swatches and My Experience

My first experience with a Lavender based product was very bad. I had picked up a perfume without trying it and paid 1500 rupees for the same. Later, I was not able to take the smell at all as it was very strong and extremely bitter. I literally hated lavender based products after that until a couple of years back.

Then, after a while, I was recommended Lavender essential oil by a SPA lady for relieving stress and providing calmness to the mind. I tried my hands on lavender post that and had picked up the Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water after trial. I had initially picked up a small pack just to make sure that I was comfortable using that. The fragrance of the Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender water is quite mild and does not bother the nose at all. It’s pure and suitable for all skin types. Now that I have started using it, I am comfortable with its fragrance now.

Packaging

It comes in a small amber coloured transparent plastic bottle with a spray pump. I must admit here that the containers from Kama are quite sturdy and their spray pumps are quite crisp. There is no difficulty in its usage at all what so ever. The small bottle is of travel friendly size and hence I keep pouring the contents from the larger bottle (which works economical) into this whenever I travel. Also there is a good 2 years of shelf life here. The spray pump has a small transparent cover that fits quite well and prevents any dust particles from entering the pump area and clogging it.

Usage & Effects

The Kama Ayurveda lavender water is watery in texture and color. It has fragrance of pure Lavenders. As lavender has antioxidant and inflammatory properties, I prefer using it by end of the day after cleansing my face for the reason that it will soothe my skin from any kind of sun’s exposure. Also, it provides the needed calmness to induce sleep.

It can alternatively be used in face packs as well instead of rose water. Hence I have the habit of using the same in my home made face packs that I usually use in the nights to appear fresh the next morning.

So, why I like it? First reason that my skin gets calmed and smoothened considerably, and two because I would have a good night’s sleep. Despite the pricing, I am more convinced that I am using a pure natural product that’s easily available. If you love lavenders this is a must have for you.
