Hello People! The skin on my feet is a little weird – it behaves okay in winters – but in summers, when I want to show off my slinky footwear, I tend to develop crazy cracks and depressing dryness. With the result I have to go in for almost weekly pedicures. I was quite frankly, rather sick of this arrangement, till I walked into Kiehl’s and cried my bag of woes out. I was promptly handed a sample of this magical product and the result prompted me to buy a full-sized version of the Intensive Treatment and Moisturizer for Dry Or Callused Feet. Kiehl's Foot Cream Review

In Detail Kiehl’s Intensive Treatment And Moisturizer For Dry Or Callused Areas Review and My Experience

The Kiehl’s Intensive Treatment and Moisturizer is fragrance-free, and as such is good for sensitive skin that’s also dry. I like how intense this product is when it comes to hydrating my really dry skin. I have tried what has seemed like a million different foot creams over the years to combat calluses and dry, cracked skin on my feet. This is by far the best and fastest acting treatment I have ever used. After just a few days of use, my feet looked and felt like they do right after a pedicure!

The formula contains some tried-and-true plant oils, all of which are also a source of antioxidants. With a broader range of repairing ingredients and perhaps a cell-communicating ingredient like niacinamide, this would be highly recommended. As is, it’s a good option for those areas where regular body lotion or cream just isn’t doing enough to ease uncomfortably dry skin. This cream is excellent for any rough spots. It is very thick and emollient, therefore it takes time to “sink” in. This is a great moisturizer for those stubborn spots that extreme weather exacerbates…scaly elbows, dry heels, cracked knuckles. It all but makes them disappear.

Kiehl’s sells this product in a tube, which is the version reviewed here, as well as a jar. Although the jar packaging makes this thick product easier to use, it’s also bad news for the plant oils and vitamins this contains. Those ingredients lose potency with repeated exposure to light and air, plus there’s the hygiene issue of dipping your fingers into a water-based moisturizer. For best results, avoid the jar-packaged product and go for the version in the tube!

How I Use it

I just lather it on a little thicker at night and sleep with it on. I do that for 2-3 nights and the cracked skin goes away and leaves my skin softer.

Effects

It is THE only moisturizer that will prevent and/ or heal severely dry, even cracked, hands or feet. In fact, it is a mani-pedi in a tube! This really moisturizes elbows and hands as well. Rich and creamy and absorbs quickly. Some might find it a bit greasy, but I am not complaining! It is a miracle cream! It is the only cream I have ever used that has cleared up my dry skin. You may think it is a little pricy, but a little goes a long way and definitely worth the money. After using this for one week the cracks are almost healed and the redness is gone! Great for treating feet overnight. Just slather on, wait a few minutes, then pull on a pair of cotton socks/footies. Your feet will thank you.

Pros of Intensive Treatment & Moisturizer for Dry or Callused Areas

• Fragrance-free.
• Rich, thick cream definitely improves dry, callused skin.
• Contains some very good, non-fragrant plant oils.

Cons of Intensive Treatment & Moisturizer for Dry or Callused Areas

• None that I could find!

MBF Advises

If you are struggling with calluses (particularly those on the feet) you will see even better results by applying a BHA (salicylic acid) exfoliant prior to a rich, thick cream such as this. The moisturizer softens calluses but the BHA exfoliant actually works to dissolve the built-up layers of unattractive dry, scratchy skin.

5/5 (PURRRRRFECT!!!)
