When I first saw it on nykaa the name “Balm Compact” tempted me. Hence, I ordered it to see how does the balm compact looks like and feels like. If you all also wanted to know than read on my detailed review about this compact below.

How to Use Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Balm Compact

Look city bright in 1, 2, 3 swipe and apply: to get the most of the balm compact, gently swipe the applicator clockwise on the product. Get even coverage: using gentle, upward strokes, apply the balm compact on your face and neck for a beautiful, matte look.

In Detail Lakme 9 to 5 Naturale Balm Compact Review, Swatches and My Experience

The Lakme Balm compact comes packed in a green and brown ombre colored square cardboard box with all the information related to the product printed on it. The actual balm compact comes in a very shiny ombre colored metallic round case. It has a small pale pink button when pressed the compact lid opens which ensures the product is definitely travel friendly.

The compact is secured with a white lid inside. It also comes with a tiny round sponge which I misplaced it somewhere while clicking photos. Overall I really loved the packaging of it, it is sturdy, luxurious and most importantly travel friendly.

The smell of this balm compact is very floral it is very identical to the lakme’s matteral mouse.

It comes in total of 4 shades. The shade which I picked up is 03 silky golden. I think, I should have got the shade 04 natural almond because this shade is slightly lighter than my complexion. I am MAC NC 42 in mac in case if you are wondering.

The texture of it is very moussey. When I swirl my fingers into it, it melts like butter. The sponge provided in it is quite useless. I will recommend you to not apply this with the sponge because it will ruin all your makeup. The application is very patchy when applied with the sponge provided in it. The best way to apply this balm compact is to apply it with your fingers or beauty blender.

The finish it provides is completely matte. One more thing I noticed while applying it is that, it sits on the dry patches and pores on your face. So, looks very weird.

Although my skin is oily but there are areas on my face- like around my mouth and my jawline area which are dry and flaky. It gets settled in those areas and accentuates the flaky-ness more.

It is best for beauties with oily skin especially in summers. Dry skin beauties may not like it because it can make their skin appear more dry even when it is well moisturised.

The coverage it provides is very sheer, same like the pressed compacts. Also, when I tried layering it to get some coverage out of it, my face was left with grey patches. So do not layer it, because I had to remove all my makeup and redo it again.

MBF Advises

1. Overall it is an ok product for oily skin girls. But for dry skin beauties I will say that please do not buy this and waste your money. Because I feel it will not work for you and will make your face look dry.
2. Frankly speaking even I did not like this product as I am a girl with problematic skin. Hence I always want my foundation or compact to give me some amount of coverage. So, if you are same like me then please do not buy this and waste your money like I did.
